@TheE3rob well, yes and no. Nintendo has developed their own little menu where you can make a restore point, but the ROM of the game does not save itself, just like in the original GB game. However, if you exit the software by going to the home menu, your exact spot will be saved for when you reopen the game, so yes, you can save.

@multipomeranian Nah no need to worry. The Black screen of death is cured by Turning off and on the system. Just click the turn off button and turn it back on. So yeah, I've got one, i got the Black of death once and it dosent do anything. So buy it.

When he says GBA added colour, he's talking about the GBA version of Mario land, not the fact that the GBC would simply add a single colour palette.

Either way, I'd rather play the original than the GBA. It takes me back to the days of playing the game on the original Game Boy. Anybody who wants it in colour, for the most part anyway, would be the ones who were born after, and never experienced it firsthand.

If you Google around a bit you will see that it can easily be done for most emulators an there is no reason Nintendo shouldn't do it as well. Nintendo, if you expect us to buy these games for a second time you better improve something! Black & White just doesn't cut it anymore no matter how great the game is!

@Pandananner I never said it sticks because it's b&w (or yellow and gray). In fact one of my favorite systems is the Vectrex (b&w vectors). Look it up.

What I AM saying is that this is Nintendo's chance to improve the graphics from 1989's limitations with an easy and optional palette swap that would take a few hours to program.

Besides, they have already done this in a limited fashion with both the Game Boy Color and Super Game Boy so it would only make sense to do the same on the 3DS.

Besides black & white doesn't look anything like it did on the original Game Boy from 1989 anyway. If they wanted to make it authentic they would make it yellow and gray.

Like I said, they added color to GB games on the GB Color and Super Game Boy, but their colors were off quite a bit. With emulation they could make the color more accurate.

This doesn't seem like spot on emulation... you can especially hear it when an item sprouts out. It sounds different when compared to the original Game Boy.

But meh, I'm just really nitpicky. I'm glad I'll be able to play games like this and Link's Awakening DX on the 3DS once I get it. =)
