i want to hook up my laptop to my rca 52in tv and i have a dvi/d female onthe back of my tv and a vga female on my laptop. will this producted work for me???

so the DVI only supports up to 1600 x 1200? what adapter should I use if I wanted to hook up a 30 in. monitor w/o a DVI connector on my laptop

Does it worth it buy get this adapter for 2nd display to take off load from video card if u gaming ?

It wont take off any load from your graphics card it will still need to do the computations as always. It just gives you an option to plug in more monitors then you would be able with your graphics card outputs (2 or 4 varies from video card, and if you have crossfire or SLI set ups).
