Not all people in the Freedom movement agree on Lincoln. Many deep conservaties respect Lincoln. That must be respected. There are two legitimate views on this matter and not all Conservatives have to be in lockstep with every issue. I can't believe how angry people are about the healthcare bill and how the same people are so uninformed about the Patriot Act. It's time to gain some sense and credibility by opposing BOTH the healthcare bill AND the Patriot Act. Many of the Republicans in the Congress who are so outraged about the healthcare bill are absolutely in favor of the Patriot Act while both are equally unconstitutional. If only we had more Republicans with integrity who would clearly lay out the case against BOTH.
Really doesn't have much to do with interpretation. It is stated that any power not explicitly given to the federal government is therefore held by the state or the individuals.
Yes, EVERYTHING comes down to interpretation. In this video he is making a case for how regulating interstate commerce can be applied to health care, no? Right now, thousands of people are getting their panties in a bunch saying that the health care bill is unconstitutional and so we will have A LOT of frivolous lawsuits, wasting tax payers dollars, so we can interpret the Constitution and our laws. Can you guess what will be the outcome?
This bill IS DEFINITELY unconstitutional and it will be defeated. Americans will not tolerate it.
It will be overturned by one of the following methods:
1. The Supreme Court - Over the Uniformity Clause and a host of other unconsitutional aspects....including forcing people to purchase a product or sevice. It is also in violation of the 10th amendment.
Ooookay FreeTheNation. We'll just see about that. And let's just say that the mandate is found to be "unconstitutional", well then only that Republican idea, the mandate, will be changed and not the whole health care bill.
The Bill is in violation of the following aspects of the Constitution.
1. ARTICLE ONE, SECTION 8 - Enumerated Powers. There are 17 Enumerated powers, this not being one of them.
2. ARTICLE FOUR, SECTION 2 - The Uniformity Clause. No state is permitted to receive any benefits from a bill passing that are not passed on to all of the states equally.
3. The 9th Amendment - If it isn't listed in the Constution, they can't do it.
Not to mention that this ENTIRE BILL VIOLATES THE VERY FIRST LAW EVERY PASSED BY THE CONGRESS.......Which is the Declaration of Independence. Read it. Our RIGHTS are bestowed upon us by our CREATOR and NOT THE GOVERNMENT. Our RIGHTS do not include Social Security, Welfare, medicare, medicaid, health care insurance, food, water, shelter, clothing, tickets to the Super Bowl, cell phones, dinners out, cars, boats or any other GOOD OR SERVICE.

As long as the patriot act is in force the American people have the right to pry even further into the crookery of the CIA, FBI, and the Federal Reserve Private Bank ran by outside interest groups. I must take issue with some of these statements, in the interest of being accurate and truthful. The elections have ELEMENTS of fraud from both sides. The 3 way race in alaska was a truthful outcome that was predicted by pre election polls. O'donnell was beat fair and square. Aside from her mismanagement of issues that she should have been prepared to deal with, it is a very liberal state. Reid was probably elected by the hispanic vote. We have a Charachter issue

Not all people in the Freedom movement agree on Lincoln. Many deep conservaties respect Lincoln. That must be respected. There are two legitimate views on this matter and not all Conservatives have to be in lockstep with every issue. For example...you can admire Lincoln for keeping the union together and ending slavery while still wanting a smaller federal government...... I think.
I don't support many things that lincoln did, but I can still see greatness in him.

This is what happens, though, with a culture that insists on political correctness. They can't racially profile Middle Eastern males in the country in spite of the fact that the vast majority of our enemy are Middle Easterners. So, to get around that, what was the alternative? Expand various sections of already written law (such as the Money Laundering Control Act of 1986) to do all of this. Rather than force the enemy to adopt new tactics by deprving them of one, they merely laugh at us.

And then the Supreme Court will interpret this to mean that, since the Amendment does not reverse case law.....well, you know the rest.

It's time to gain some sense and credibility by opposing BOTH the healthcare bill AND the Patriot Act. Many of the Republicans in the Congress who are so outraged about the healthcare bill are absolutely in favor of the Patriot Act while both are equally unconstitutional. If only we had more Republicans with integrity who would clearly lay out the case against BOTH.

It will be overturned by one of the following methods:
1. The Supreme Court - Over the Uniformity Clause and a host of other unconsitutional aspects....including forcing people to purchase a product or sevice. It is also in violation of the 10th amendment.
2. State Legistatures

The Bill is in violation of the following aspects of the Constitution.
1. ARTICLE ONE, SECTION 8 - Enumerated Powers. There are 17 Enumerated powers, this not being one of them.
2. ARTICLE FOUR, SECTION 2 - The Uniformity Clause. No state is permitted to receive any benefits from a bill passing that are not passed on to all of the states equally.
3. The 9th Amendment - If it isn't listed in the Constution, they can't do it.
4. 10th Amendment - States Rights
