Why? It's simple, because the religious leaders wanted something that CCP cannot give them. They wanted absolute power, to control citizen to do their bidding. Since, the CCP government is communist, 'WE' cannot tolerate that kind of behaviour. Talk about what counts? Fine, what about USA they illegally invaded Iraq, and attacked Afganstan. Supporters of Free Tibet come from many countries. That the torch from the Olympic Shames 2008 has traveld free through other countries doesn't mean there was no support. It were the governments and not the people who gave in to China even though many political leaders opposo and also even in Russia demontrations took plave.

This is kind of fun. We should encourage people to join the team of grabing the torch, you know, people are all taking part in it, not like before just standing still along the sides. This should become a tradition as a part of the Olimpic, you know, people's team try to get the torch and government team try to protect the torch, and when the torch finally got to the destination, all people would say "wow, this is Olimpic"! And people will remember this tradition started from Beijing 2008!
