FFXI isn't dead at all yet. O.o I still play with my friends in an Endgame shell, and it's a real blast. Granted this MMO is pretty hard for people who don't have any skill to play, so maybe it is better that you do move on... :)

lol yes 5 people play... >.> /sarcasm. If you do a /sea all of the server there is normally over 1k of people on during NA times, and over 2k of people on during JP/EU primetimes.

It's not as much as it use to be, but I actually like it with less people than before.

It's not getting shut down this year if you are referring to the mistranslation of what that SE Employee said in their blog. SE even confirmed that it's not ending at the end of this year and that it was a mistake.

@carcillian they aren't shutting ffxi down this year. with everything that they are releasing within the next year alone, between the lvl increase to 99 and AF3 endgame in Abyssea world packs, this game will last strong another 3+ years before they even consider shutting it down. unless ffxiv absorbs all of the ffxi players full time lol cant wait to see how that game turns out ^^
