  • Nice tribute!! Connie has always been one of my fav girl singers. It helps that she was a good friend of my fav group the Lettermen in the early 60's.... wonder if she kept in touch??

  • @lettermen1 Thanks so much!

  • Fantastic that Warners finally released Susan Slade on DVD after all these years. Its Connie's very own tour de force. Troy hardly seems to be in the film.

  • Thanks for the info. I'll be looking forward to buying it. Thanks for watching!

  • Is Connie Stevens still alive? I remember watching her on Hawaiin Eye when I was like 11 or 12 years old, and I'm 58 now.

  • Yep, she is still alive and still looks great according to recent photos. Thanks so much for watching this video tribute!

  • Ms Stevens was a huge star at WB in the 60's and made several hit movies with Troy Donahue: Parrish, Susan Slade, Palm Springs Weekend and also toplined Two On A Guillotine with Dean Jones and Never Too Late with Jim Hutton. Connie was WB's rival to Sandra Dee at Universal. Connie also did Hawaiin Eye and Wendy And Me TV shows at WB. After leaving WB Connie became a Vegas star but Connie's greatest success is being a cosmetics queen and is now one of the richest women of Hollywood.

  • Thanks so much for watching this video and for sharing all that great information you have about Connie Stevens. It is very much appreciated!

  • Stella Stevens is the blonde that Jerry Lewis is credited with "discovering", not Connie Stevens. Stella Stevens played with Lewis in the original "Nutty Professor".

  • So sorry about the goof. I should have been more precise. According to Wikepedia, Connie Stevens was working as a movie extra and "after appearing in four B movies, Jerry Lewis saw her in DRAGSTRIP RIOT and cast her in ROCK-A-BYE-BABY and soon after that she signed a contract with Warner Brothers.

  • I Remember this Lady She was So Fine. Hey Do You All Remember That song she did "Cookie Cookie Lend Me Your Comb" Well Would have loved to take a bite of her Cookie. Yummmmmmyyyy!!!!

  • Hey Buddy You Are Decent Cool Person. I was waiting for you to start come out lashing at my comment. But No You actually realized that I was just joking around. I Left the same comment on another Connie Stevens Video. And the person got really pissed and deleted it. I wrote him and apologized for the comment. And Just explained that I just sometimes get bored while Online. Take Care Buddy and yeah She was a Hottie.

  • Thanks again!

  • I don't want to be impolite but it was Kookie Kookie lend me your comb.

Kookie was the young man in 77 Sunset Strip starring Efron Zimballus Jr. Kookie was Ed Burns If I remember correctly.

Excuse may spelling if I have some of it wrong. I may have some of the exact names wrong too.

I'm working with an old hard drive here. lol

  • Thank you. Yep, I definitely remember that song and have it on 45rpm. Thank you for sharing your information. Much appreciated!
