  • 5000 RPM at 200 kph.Is this 5th gear?

I'm asking because I know that the new VW gearboxes (eighter 5 or 6,manual or auto) have very long gear ratios, and are doing about 120 kph at 3000 revs in 5th.I guess 6th should be even much longer.

  • @lupul10 This is a DSG 7 speed. It's doing 200 in 6th, I did not bother going to 7th since it's more of an overdrive and i ran out of open highway :). The selected gear is displayed in the top right corner of the MFD (onboard computer)

  • @lupul10 is your brain so slow that you can't count the gear changes? o.O?? LOL

  • more than 215km/h with winter tires and over 10 °C? Plus with less than 3000km on your car ? dude!!

  • @assailant85 Hahaha, lol. Nah i just forgot to change the setting for the wintertires. It's running on normal ones, and the 2550km is the trip meter, the car has got about 75000km now.

  • @limitznl thank god :) gotta take care of such a nice car!

  • pizdobol 215?

  • My cousin has one has the same car but were in England so it is mph and he said it can reach up to 135mph max

    These cars are amazing !!

  • I've got the 122hp, our top speed varies between 210-220, so I believe the road is straight and not downhill :).

  • nice upload. Where you driving downhill, or just on a straight road? The car isn't chipped right? 215 km/h is more than the statistics tells us from the the factory...

Im not sure which car i should order... the 1.4 tsi 122 hp or the 160 hp. I'm a little bit unsure about the 160 hp version because a lot of people got problems with the engine.... is this a lot better with the 122 hp version? Any complaints?

  • @elbrazza85 No, it's not chipped, and there are 2 things at play here, first of all the VW specs are always conservative, second of all the actual speed is always a bit lower than what the speedo is showing. This was a flat road, under ideal circumstances. Uphill or heavy headwind will make the speed drop to 190 or so. I can't say whether the 160 hp version is better or not, i never drove it. I did have some engine troubles, but all it needed was a chip firmware upgrade. It's common but easy fix

  • @limitznl 160 hp version is a lot faster than the 122 hp... check out my videos, i also have revo stage 1 software, and it accelerates faster than golf gti :)

  • @lordoftheriffs79 I'm sure it is :) unfortunately i didn't have much of a choice with this one, 30K euro with moderate options (Netherlands) was already pushing my price range when i got it. But when you can pick between this Golf and an Astra, it's not a tough choice to make.

I do have an offer laying around for the GTI but need to save up a few months more, maybe i'll get it after the winter :D

  • @elbrazza85 my friend you should opt fr the 160hp is by far better than the 122hp..additionally, at car industries they test their cars while the have 0km so when a car has achieved 2500km for instance it performs much better so it has higher top speed and accelerations

  • @dragonballzsogokou That version is the one with the most problems actually, plus it's only a little faster in the lower rmp's because of the compressor. 122pk version is easily chipped to 160 hp anyway.
