@matrox The black M3, which is seen only one time, is supercharged and doesnt really race anyone. The other M3, which has the camera guy, was basically bone stock while the other cars were supercharged. All in all, stock M3 didnt fare too bad. @wagdaddyandef9man I thought they were turbo because I work with a guy who has one that he bought about a year ago. He likes it but is pissed because he is only getting about 18 mpg on the highway and about 13mpg in traffic. The Camaro with a bigger engine gets about 26mpg hiway according to the forums.
Because I drive like a grandma, I turn the power button off (not sure if this does anything but I convince myself it does) turn the car into the S2 program and just try to time lights lol. This stuff combined with an intake (afe stage2) and axle back has got me my 20 mpgs. Car is now supercharged so bye bye saving gas haha

My 02 clk55 has gotten 12.8 with just a filter change and resonator delete I think with a tune and and drag tires I can get better than 12.5 at over 114mph

@TheVengefulCo yah but the '12 challenger has the same amount of torque as hp and stiffer suspension so I'd bet it puts the power down fairly well. And it looks amazing. Then again when you buy a muscle car it's not to be confused with a sports car. They're, well, vulgar and bold and to be honest I love em.

Stock the M3 is faster compared to a SS Camaro and Challenger SRT-8. Those are at best low 13 second cars on average and I have seen challengers run 13.5-13.8 more often then low 13s. The M3 is a high 12 second car unless the driver behind the wheel is a herp de derp. How ever with blowers I say the Camaro and challenger should win. They should take better advantage with their high ltr V8s. The M3 is a high revving small V8, its a 4.4ltr. This vid makes sense.
@LambdaQuarks yeah thats kind of sad ha I own a 2007 350z and people usually trap about 13.3-13.5 stock, some people have gotten as low as 13.1 stock. Its weird because I always thought those SS camaros and stuff could pull mid 12's like the M3 and blow the doors off my car but its a closer race than that. I bet with a really good driver, the camaro could do 12.8 or so but still, the M3 has gotten around 12.5 stock. and yeah, that high revving V8 is all about top end, the M3 has only 290tq.
@LambdaQuarks also its not all about power like people think, its about how well its put on the ground and definitely weight. those camaros are like 3800 pounds and i dont even wanna know what the challenger weighs but probably close to 4k. then again that m3 is heavy too but BMW knows how to get that power through the tranny and the differential better than GM it seems.
@blueduster74 Not sure if they changed the srt-8 lately but I have yet to see one break 13s stock at the great lakes drag way and I have seen lots of them run. The SS cameras are around mid 13s in MT around here also, usually 13.8 average in autos.

He said there awesome cars, just don't drag race anybody who has a V8 or a high powered V6. Even a simple mustang now will out run the best stock M3. I would love to have an M3 but I love mustangs too. And the fact that a mustang holds a better skid pad number then the M3. M3's are good but there not spanking anybody but civics

@toddmars one of the best daily drivers I've ever had. I have 2 E92's both dct. With intake and exhaust (rear section only) I averaged 20 city and 24-26 highway. City driving was very moderate. The supercharged one now averages 16 when I'm able to keep my foot away from the floor lol. I've driven a bunch of different cars in my day

Real Challengers from 1970 ( I grew up with them) were slower than the modern ones. I own one. sorry but the last 41 years have made some improvements.

At the end of the day your still pushing an American car and he's driving an m3. In Auto x m3 will destroy both cars without doing any suspension work or engine mods. @Huntinbuddys The first time I skimmed through the video to get to the races and didn't notice the under hood shots and whine. I was stating my surprise because the M3 is faster to 60 and a half second quicker in the quarter than the other 2. In stock form the challenger is a few hundred pounds heavier and posts slower times than the Camaro. I worked at a Chrysler dealer and drove both the 6.1 and new 392 and let me say it is a vast improvement and will match the M3 now.
@Huntinbuddys That being said I don't desire an M3 at all. My Crossfire at only 3100 lbs is faster than all 3 (without their added forced induction). Power to weight matters and the hemi cars require some umph;) Don't get me wrong the Challenger is a great looking show car, but needs boost to scoot! Nice cars!

Take into account that's with professional drivers... The 2011 GT500 does 12.5 @ 118 mph... ALOT faster then a Cam SS... or GT 5.0.....

I've got an SRT 8 Challanger that runs cirlcles around my neighbors M5 all day long. All I needed was adjustable coil overs, and a set of strut braces. He paid almost $80 grand for his uber-machine. I slapped on a roots type supercharger and ported the heads for $10k plus the car new was ($40k). I have embarassed him at the track and the stop lights on many occations. In fact he wont even take his car out if we are going the same place anymore.

Not a dodge fan but 75% of the newer dodges share a ton of parts from Mercedes Benz. Charger and Challenger are a redressed 211 chassis Eclass with a different drivetrain. 251 R-class and pacifica same, 163,164,an the new 166 ML,GL same as a durango. I work for Benz and let me tell you the Domestic stuff is actually really nice now for 1/2 the price. Quality in build still goes to Euro cars then Domestic then Asian now. But really for 1/2 the price Id take any domestic now.

Now you guys aren't even comparing correct trim styles a gt500 (5.4L or new 5.8L) and the ZL1 will rape the 392 in a line and on a road course however where now comparing blown motors to NA so is that fair?
But is comparing the ford 302 to the 392 fair? No its basically big block ci vs small block ci. Now a 5.4l with a m112 blower gives you a 6.5L displacement equiv now this is fair displ comparison to the 392 6.4L. The Zl1's tvs 2.3l blower yields a 8.5L motor when mated to the 6.2l not fair in any comparison on ci and honestly 580hp out of an 8.5L motor is embarrising for stock trim.
All this shows everyone is that Ford is leading the hp/ci wars right now big time. GM and Dodge have to come up with more efficient motors meaning a more advanced head/cam/intake setup so they dont have to rely on big displacement motors. Ford is giving us the best of everything right now a 302 NA making 444hp is better than a 392 making 470 hp and a 330 with a m112 (1.2L) making 550hp is better than a 376 with a tvs (2.3L) making 580hp. I wont even talk about ford new 5.8L.

At the end of the day your still pushing an American car and he's driving an m3. In Auto x m3 will destroy both cars without doing any suspension work or engine mods. @wagdaddyandef9man Well I meant the stock SRT 8 is slow compared to most modern performance cars due to its immense weight, but of course a supercharger will take care of that;) I must have missed further description of the cars mods, but now it make sense:) I'm sure the SC M3 will do much better. I know those cars will beat be as they are now, but my SRT 6 is drastically faster than the SRT 8, and Camaro without boost. I can edge out the M3 but just by a little;)

@Huntinbuddys The first time I skimmed through the video to get to the races and didn't notice the under hood shots and whine. I was stating my surprise because the M3 is faster to 60 and a half second quicker in the quarter than the other 2. In stock form the challenger is a few hundred pounds heavier and posts slower times than the Camaro. I worked at a Chrysler dealer and drove both the 6.1 and new 392 and let me say it is a vast improvement and will match the M3 now.

Power to weight matters and the hemi cars require some umph;) Don't get me wrong the Challenger is a great looking show car, but needs boost to scoot! Nice cars!

Wicked fun..of course it takes quite a bit of coin to get it to be this fun, but man, you'd certainly desire it!! Hopefully we'll have new vids up very shortly. BTW, I think if he detuned and took 100hp away, it would be even more fun.

@DrNippleHair You are comparing a mustang GT 5.0 to a camaro SS in your performance stats... The 5.0 runs the 1/4 in 12.9 @ 110 and the SS camaro does it in 12.9 @ 109 mph... Take into account that's with professional drivers... The 2011 GT500 does 12.5 @ 118 mph... ALOT faster then a Cam SS... or GT 5.0.....

I've got an SRT 8 Challanger that runs cirlcles around my neighbors M5 all day long. All I needed was adjustable coil overs, and a set of strut braces. He paid almost $80 grand for his uber-machine. I slapped on a roots type supercharger and ported the heads for $10k plus the car new was ($40k). I have embarassed him at the track and the stop lights on many occations. In fact he wont even take his car out if we are going the same place anymore.

Not a dodge fan but 75% of the newer dodges share a ton of parts from Mercedes Benz. Charger and Challenger are a redressed 211 chassis Eclass with a different drivetrain. 251 R-class and pacifica same, 163,164,an the new 166 ML,GL same as a durango. I work for Benz and let me tell you the Domestic stuff is actually really nice now for 1/2 the price. Quality in build still goes to Euro cars then Domestic then Asian now. But really for 1/2 the price Id take any domestic now.

This was another stupid comparison for M3s and other cars , We can't compare Normally aspirated car like M3 which mainly designed for performance and sharpness and quicker response with the Camaro SS or Challenger SRT8 which big super charger on , because all these cars are good in is just drag racing and going straight line acceleration up to 100MPH , take them to Europe and see which car and what type of engine can handle 300+ KPH for longer time and bring the result & discuss about them.

Yes the high end 392 srt8 will yield a mid 12s run so yes a top of the line challenger will beat a mid level mustang 5.0 and a mid level camaro ss running high 12's to low 13's in a straight line put them on a road course and its flipped. Now you guys aren't even comparing correct trim styles a gt500 (5.4L or new 5.8L) and the ZL1 will rape the 392 in a line and on a road course however where now comparing blown motors to NA so is that fair?

Now a 5.4l with a m112 blower gives you a 6.5L displacement equiv now this is fair displ comparison to the 392 6.4L. The Zl1's tvs 2.3l blower yields a 8.5L motor when mated to the 6.2l not fair in any comparison on ci and honestly 580hp out of an 8.5L motor is embarrising for stock trim.

All this shows everyone is that Ford is leading the hp/ci wars right now big time. GM and Dodge have to come up with more efficient motors meaning a more advanced head/cam/intake setup so they dont have to rely on big displacement motors. Ford is giving us the best of everything right now a 302 NA making 444hp is better than a 392 making 470 hp and a 330 with a m112 (1.2L) making 550hp is better than a 376 with a tvs (2.3L) making 580hp. I wont even talk about ford new 5.8L.
