  • with my city we have 2 way enter but door 6 because its for a fire boat and a serach and rescue truck and its are main station so it has the biggest truck in there witch is are 10 story later

  • My god, I have trouble backing my car into my garage... lol.

  • Gotta love the spares!

  • Question why do they have green lights on the front of that engine

  • I don't really see why they need a siren for backing into a garage?

  • What's the green light for?

  • @MadPropsToTheHood Originally, CFD was started by a ship captain or something of that sorts, the green light is just like how on ships there is a green light on the starbord side. They have at least one green light on every one or their trucks.

  • @343HFD I thought that a green light designated a paramedic unit, and units with green lights have the right of way if multiple emergency vehicles were to come to the same intersection running code.

  • @trumpetboy50 nope sorry

  • ...and another thing... What makes this a change vs. Truck 3 operating with a spare?

  • Oh wow, they switched firehouses temporarily... -boner-

  • lol....nice brakes!

  • @JoelPodlaski Tradition. Its and old story that dates back to the 1930s when a fire commissioner, formerly in the Navy, adopted the port and starboard naval light scheme for all apparatus. You can see these green and red lights at the sides of the firehouses too.

  • @Nachor4 And I just said the same that youve read 3 months ago. Sorry.

  • Dude in white van needs new brakes...grinding metal on metal

  • @JoelPodlaski Green is a more visible colour than red anyway.

  • @04smallmj A lot of colours are more visible than red, that's why it's used in certain jobs.

  • @JoelPodlaski Actually i thought it was for more of a "request of the right of way" as i see most volunteer firefighters are rolling with the green lights up north or well in parts of canada and while some down here uses Red/Clear in their POV, though some trucks i see green on there rear beacons

  • @JoelPodlaski Oh Really That Is Pretty Neat

  • @JoelPodlaski I Heard Its A Law

  • yeeees it`s a Garver :-) I`m from the FDNY, for me no way of a better rig ! Seagraves 4 ever !!!

  • @MrFWDSeagrave its not that chicago cant afford Seagrave but them they just switched to Pierce as the main ladder supplier.

  • @typarker07 and for their engine COs they use Spartan and Crimson chassis but theyve been using them since i think '04-05 but ive seen a new ladder on Spartan.com of a CFD Spartan Glaidator CFD TrucK Co. theyre pretty neat

  • @JKSK8ERLIVE Yeah yur rite i see it at the fire rescue international convention a few months ago

  • @typarker07 they look pretty awesome i think theyre already being delivered to awaiting companes for use

  • I cannot believe this is still in service, but I'm in love with it

  • Where was Truck 3 to require a change of quarters?

  • 42's house. illinois & dearborn

  • What station is this?

  • Ahhhh the old Seagraves. Those were awesome!
