ummm. . . the product isn't meant for gaming. it converts hd signal. running any signal through that device will create not only lag, but possible some improper color diffusion.

It's meant for tv signals from cable or antenna. And for that, they work well enough. Is it overpriced? Iunno, I didn't get mine from TigerDirect. I bought it on a whim when circuit city was going out of business. But it does the job, and I've used it often enough to get my money's worth.

This will NOT accept a composite or component (baseband) signal. It will only accept an RF (broadband) signal input therefore it will NOT allow you to record your gameplay from PS3 or XBOX unless you use an RF modulator and tune this device to channel 3 or 4. If you would like to record HD from the component outputs then your ONLY option is a Hauppauge HD PVR. This is the ONLY product on the market that will capture 1080i and 720p component outputs and it cost $200-300.

Yeah, but for capturing a game device, I reccomend the Pinnicle Dazzle that was made for that.

I thought this one can record in higher quality. The Dazzle can only record in 480i. But using this PCTV stick the recording of wii or other console gameplay will look crappy or not? I don't know to buy :(

You could feed an analog signal into the stick and record your gaming sessions, but I would recommend you check out the Pinnacle Video Transfer...this is a great way to record and share your gaming sessions with all of your friends.

If you can get it cheap, 50 or under, I'd recommend. Just understand the first thing you will want to do is throw away the worthless software it ships with. BeyondTV is great software that works flawlessly with this hardware.

The software they send with it is useless.Check the forums connected with this and you'll see how many problems owners had. When trying to use it to capture via Media Center a consistent audio-video lag occurs. I installed a Winfast card on the desktop several years ago,and although not spectacular, it has none of the delays and poor picture that this has.

I bought mine on woot dot com for about 50 bucks. After installing it in the notebook computer it came back and said that my 1.2gig computer was too slow and needed at least a 1.4gig maching. Oh, well it is HD.

The first thing i would like to say is i really like the device. It's about time but, in the video you say it's less than 100$ and on your site it is 119$. Also when you purchase the card you don't want to just plug it in with out installing the drivers like this guy said. It could lead to problems installing the driver later when you try to use it. Other than that I like the video.

Sorry, don't know about any specific antennas which will act as a replacement - I actually got the same question from another viewer today - and I'm awaiting a response from Pinnacle.
