Wow - does this bring back memories! I was on my way to work in Culver City and drove by the Wherehouse around 7 in the morning and saw the crowd, so I decided to blow off work and hang. I ended up in the back side of the store where they were bringing people in, then hell broke lose. I did end up driving this girl I met to her home in Sun Valley because her so-called 'friends' ditched her. I wasn't a huge DM fan, but enough of one to hang out on a gorgeous day with a bunch of people.
Richard Blade is on SIrius XM satellite radio. He is on a channel called "First Wave". They play 80's new wave. Richard Blade is best friends with Dave Gahan.
I don't know, he has a point. I was there in line and in hindsight both KROQ and Wherehouse (and the band, or their management, for that matter) must have known by at least 5 PM that there was no chance the band could remotely hope to sign stuff for even a small portion of the line.
Man...spend you life doing a dreary job (like me...lol!) or go out and express yourself. What must it be like earning a fantastic living and getting it making brilliant music?

Hard to believe Violator has been out for 19 years now!! This scene was crazy as hell, and the line wasn't moving at all! Fletch said he expected only about 35 people to show! HA HA HA....DM 4-ever!!!
