@killwefish have you ever listen "origin of symmetry"?I love both band(J'm 43!)obviously I loved before Radiohead(they're from 90's)..then in 21st century ,Muse !and did you see live both bands? I did !they're the best bands(of the last 20 years,4 me)and 2 of the best live band ever, but 4 me Muse are a better live band and not speaking about the cd's works but about the live skills Muse drummer and bassist are better radiohead's members!then Matt bellamy,he's simply a genius! anw 2 awesome band!
this is fucking garbage!seriously? look at how many awards muse has and albums sold!i like this song but this is fucking dumb!everyone just wants to hate people that are doing good for themselves,i cannot believe this shit,,,,if u have nothing better to do than enjoy this? listen to rap cuz u got no sense,f ur interjections etc, when u can produce and perform let me know, ill be there
I don't even.. they don't even go well together, the chords progressions and the timing are completely off, even with the obvious editing on the creep vocals to match Muse's song.

You know the first 2 mins actually work for me, in a strange way. It's true, the different time signatures abbreviates Thom's beautiful voice with the tonal changes in the Resistance, but it still paints some blue notes that I wasn't expecting. The final chorus didn't work though, and the amateurish segue into Bellamy's churlish whining (yes, he's still chasing after Thom's register, and his band is trying blithely to reach the unreachable high-arched pathos of Ok Computer) with bland results.
lol You must be tone-deaf from listening to so much Radiohead. Forget the time-signature, that's of the least importance here. Thom Yorke's vocal is in a completely different scale/progression. His song "Creep" revolves around 4 simple chords that repeat over and over again, and are different from this song. Yorke's vocal sounds awful in this context to anyone with a functioning set of ears.
@winrar88 If you had bothered to comprehend anything of what I said (maybe an organic brain problem for you? My sympathies :-(..) then you would have understood that I'm not talking about the chords at all. The reason, after the first two minutes, and I do mean that quite literally because the song drastically differs after this period, is the time-signature. He's is singing faster than this song his exquisite voice is mashed on top of, making the chorus of Creep the natural place to end at.
You have to understand something here, English is far from being my first language. I can easily discuss this with you in Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, etc. Not everyone is a native born amerikuh' speaker, sorry dude. Also, your English syntax is very hard to 'comprehend' anyway even with you being from the USA. Maybe your weak education system is at fault here(or maybe it's your naturally lower IQ). Which one is it?
Anyway, the point is Yorke's vocal track objectively sounds like "shit" in this context. Can you 'comprehend' that, dude? The chord/harmonic progression is very imporant in a tune and Yorke's voice just doesn't fit here at all. There's nothing natural about this garbage right here. This a very poor mash-up made by someone who doesn't know anything about music.
Thom Yorke's register is nothing to "chase" for really. Instead, it's rather unfortunate for Bellamy to have such a poor vocal timbre as Yorke. That's more of a weakness than anything imo. I'm sure Bellamy would rather sound more like Jeff Buckley, now that that's an enviable voice.
@winrar88 I honestly don't give two shits what Bellamy does with his voice....but if I did, I hardly think Buckleyizing it would help any. Not to knock anyone who's dead, but I don't think Buckley has that great of a voice anyway, imho. So......who is fucking totally tone-deaf now? Hm? You can't recognize when two seperate elements of a single song are in different speeds, you can't understand when two individual chords match, and you think Jeff Buckley is good replacement for both. Deaf?
Well, thankfully your opinion doesn't have much value or merit. Jeff Buckley is a superior vocalist to Yorke by almost every reasonable measure. Not that it means much though since Yorke is technically such an awful singer. Anyone who would argue otherwise must likely be deaf...or just a zealous Radiohead fan. No difference there really.
@winrar88 I really value the opinion of a French-fried frog. Go back to screwing male prostitutes or eating the cheese out of your feet or whatever the fuck else your mongrel race does to justify it's raison d'etre. Here's a little message for your AMERICAN boyfriend: Je pense que vous êtes le chanteur plus mauvais au monde!!!!! Baisez-vous!
Swing and a miss!...I'm not a frenchman, but rather of Dutch ancestry. Still you should have some respect for those frogs. If it wasn't for their help, then all you bastard children of low-stock euro peasantry known as "americans" would've been under Brit rule well after 1776. Try opening a book and learn your history, you uncouth redneck.
@winrar88 Try finishing that little thought process before you even reply to me. If you’re not capable of elaborating beyond one fragmented sentence, don’t even bother responding here. It’s best you just scamper off like this other fool before it’s too late.
""The reason, after the first two minutes, and I do mean that quite literally because the song drastically differs after this period, is the time-signature.""
I like this little fragment better. Seriously, what the fuck was that? Can anyone here comprehend that? And English is supposed to be this cretin's native tongue? lol
@winrar88 If you knew anything about sentence construction, you would've been able to identify the INTERJECTIONS which could've possibly used a parenthetical, diacritical mark to seperate clauses, both the independent and adverb ones. Did I lose you? O, that's right, you're too busy giving me a history lesson in eugenics..just finish biology 101? "Think of 'hybrid vigour'," this, little boy, is a sentence fragment. Being gay is not anything to be ashamed of, but being stupid is unforgivable.
Save me the grammar lessons. You don't even seem to know what "interjections" are, moron. That sentence I quoted was just an imcomprehinsible mess, plain and simple. I dare anyone here to decipher that fucking gibberish this retard posted.
Here it is again:
""The reason, after the first two minutes, and I do mean that quite literally because the song drastically differs after this period, is the time-signature.""
"About all this Muse vs. Radiohead poppycock.....all I know is Radiohead doesn't seem to need to change chords to a minor key every 5 fucking seconds as if it makes the song more important.......RH just SOUNDS important and that's mainly because they ARE important."
Here's another gem from quidseeker. Great example of his amerikuh dialect, with the diction of a 'special ed' student.
And my boy Jeff Buckley was also a "mongrel" as many americans usually are. That's were your talent comes from. Think of 'hybrid vigour'. Now what's worse is being inbred in a stagnant population, that's a problem in many parts of USA.
No, you looking for date? You bring up homosexuality too much dude...stop projecting. You must be one of those closeted "fags" in USA afraid to come out due to homophobia.
@winrar88 Oh no! WinRAR (Sounds like Rawr) has been closed down for his obvious hatred of himself. Listen, why don't you go back to Sweden, or France, or wherever Euro-trashed nation you think you hail from and really put your back into something useful, like, say, Team Fortress 2. You suck at understanding basic concepts of music, you suck at flaming, you suck at hiding your true identity, and yet you positively excel at Trolling... one of these shut-in types with a headset.
Now where did all that nonsense come from? One second this moron wants to search and quote older comments, then out of nowhere he throws a random little bitchfit that doesn't make any sense.lol You seem very emotionally unstable, dude. Do you suffer from aspergers or something like your boy Thom Yorke? Go get some help and stop projecting all your insecurities on me.
@winrar88 Hey moron, that was only my kind suggestion. I’m not “telling” you to go ahead and kill yourself but merely to consider it. Since of course this world is not perfect with so many retards like you taking up space and oxygen. The least you can do is help out abit by ending your insignificant life, and finally leave your made up “hell” already. There will be just one less annoying teenage malcontent whining over nothing. Good riddance!
@winrar88 " Now what's worse is being inbred in a stagnant population, that's a problem in many parts of USA." This sentence is a nightmare of syntactical and grammatical errors, everything from dangling participles to incorrectly coordinated conjunctions. Also, it's quite obvious you haven't an inkling what a comma is used for. The passive voice I'll forgive only because it seems to match very well with your suppressed sexuality, and the very strikingly nuanced effeminate tone you affect.
@cteamawsome You are retarded. I love both bands, but muse have explored more territory musically than Radiohead, plus Radiohead hate this song (WTF it's their best one), which is stupid.
@SilverFoxProds Muse explore more territory musically? are you serious? Creep their best song? I love both bands, but I'm not deaf or blind to reality. STFU both bands are great each in their own way.
Why do people compare these two bands? They are totally different (in my opinion) and they are both great. I won't say my personal favourite though, for fear of my own safety...
@CTeamAwsome shut up u silly person muse are the best live band bar none and as for matt bellamy hes probably the most gifted musician out there go see them live
WTF is this shit? Do you eat pizza and ice cream together? that's what this is like. Both amazing, terrible with eachother. Plus it's not even in time. :/
I must be listening to something different to what the comments are on about. This really isn't so bad.
If you were to do it again, I would suggest leaving the slightly up tempo piano bit as an instrumental. And depending on the software you used, you might want to put the vocals in the same key as the piano (elastic audio, or whatever), if not it's not too out of tune. :)
no sinceramente es un empate, ambas bandas son unas tremendas batalladoras a la hora de darnos gusto al escuchar sus canciones, pero a mi mas me gusta radiohead..
Saying Muse is better than Radiohead is like saying Nickleback is better than Nirvana. That is to say, you should be fucking euthanized for spreading awful awful dick in my own ass and mouth retarded taste in music.
@JochenHadley kay first of all, this isnt that bad. geez...and 2 nickelback is better than nirvana. please, the only reason people think nirvana is legendary is because some emo loser who needed to get over himself shot himself. nirvana had about 6 good songs. jesus.
@ichigoku1225 Did you just say Nickelback is better than Nirvana?! Hahahaha, and 'emos' weren't even around during the 90's fortunately. Kurt Cobain was such an influential guitarist and inspired by many, I don't see Nickelback doing that. People also think his wife Courtney shot him, so just shut the fuck up.
Muse= really generic brit rock meets long-winded nu metal minus rapping. Breaking the 5 minute barrier for a song doesn't make it a prog band. Putting out a concept album doesn't make it a fucking prog/space rock band. Having really pretensious piano music that deaf dipshits like to pretend is on par with classical symphonic music =/= symphonic rock. Its pure brit rock. Radiohead have innovated and flirted with many genres. Experimental, electronic, acoustic, post-rock, and more.
@JochenHadley check out wikipedia for saying muse isn't a prog rock band, for symphonic rock, have you heard butterflies and hurricanes? Muse too, have "innovated and flirted with many genres"...pop rock, classical, alternative rock, RnB, Rock, Space Rock, Electro, Heavy metal "and more" :)
Do you enjoy being a narrow-minded, myopic, arrogant, and chauvinistic douche? Or is it just something you have to suffer persecution for?
.
I find it amusing that you accuse Muse of these pretensions whilst placing Radiohead on some untouchable ivory pedestal. Radiohead is fantastic and I like them, but I doubt making their fans narrow-sighted was an intended goal.
.
Space Dementia, Plug in Baby, Hysteria, and Stockholm Syndrome etc. are sublime gems; I feel sorry for you.
Actually I like it. Yeah. It's striking the contrast between the peaceful feeling of Exogenisis and the hopless feeling of Creep. The end of the song is pretty cool. You've guts for sure.
Matt is incredible. Thom is also an awesome piano and guitar player with a completely different style and incredible singer and the greatest lyricist writing music today. Two of my favorite musicians for sure!
I believe that the lead singer of Muse had a dream in which Thom Yorke appeared miraculously before him and then fucked him in the ass. Now I think he has "Stockholm Syndrome" (get it?) And now he must mimic him become him and be one with him once more in this plane of reality.
I believe that the lead singer of Muse had a dream in which Thom Yorke appeared miraculously before him and then fucked him in the ass. Now I think he has "Stockholm Syndrome" (get it?) And now he must mimic him become him and be one with him once more in this plane of reality.
muse is future sound..radiohead is good but its the same routine staff..i don't say i dont like them..but muse can inspire u in my opinion..more than radiohead
@AlucardWhatIwant5 Seriously, please right now look up The National Anthem and tell me how that is ROUTINE. Or "Paranoid Android."
Then watch the video for "Stockholm Syndrome"
Which seems more original or "inspired" Look Muse doesn't care about breaking boundaries in music. Radiohead does. It is that simple. Muse is good. But don't compare a band that is just well.... a "muse" recycling effective but tired musical elements (a lot of which Radiohead perfected and moved on from) to innovators.
@jbarzee89 they didn't make any songs for the Twilight movies, you know. Twilight asked for their songs to be in the movies. Get your facts straight before you go ranting about a band.
The song for Eclipse was released as a single, separate from any full length album and was titled, "Neutron Star Collision, (Love is Forever). HMM?? Listen to the song, and you might just draw a few parallels to the twilight story. Either way, Muse is a great band but will never be as original or unique as Radiohead is.
@jbarzee89 Muse created the song sometime before The Resistance and did not want it on the album so they kept it. Twilight wanted Muse in the new movie so they asked them if they had any songs for it and they allowed them to use Neutron Star Collision. Matt Bellamy wrote Love Is Forever because of his breakup with Gaia, his then girlfriend. Beyotch.
@jbarzee89 According to Matt Bellamy in an interviewed I heard, Neutron Star Collision and Supermassive Blackhole are intended to be ASSOCIATED with Twilight, but NOT written for Twilight.
In other words, Muse let two songs be "used" by Twilight, while those songs themselves were not written for twilight nor property of twilight.
No pega !

the key of matts symphony is F..... creep is in G..... horrible.
furthermore even if they were in the same key creep is the 1 chord followed by the 3rd then the 4th then minor 4th/
Exogenesis is 1, 4, 3, 5, 1
if your gonna do a mash up do it between two songs taht abtually sound the same.

Saying Muse is better than Radiohead is like saying Nickleback is better than Nirvana. That is to say, you should be fucking euthanized for spreading awful awful dick in my own ass and mouth retarded taste in music.
JochenHadley 1 year ago
@JochenHadley kay first of all, this isnt that bad. geez...and 2 nickelback is better than nirvana. please, the only reason people think nirvana is legendary is because some emo loser who needed to get over himself shot himself. nirvana had about 6 good songs. jesus.
ichigoku1225 1 year ago
@ichigoku1225 nickelback better thatn nirvana you must really not know about rock nickelback isn't even respected by many rock listeners
Mariooo1994 1 year ago

JochenHadley 1 year ago
@JochenHadley check out wikipedia for saying muse isn't a prog rock band, for symphonic rock, have you heard butterflies and hurricanes? Muse too, have "innovated and flirted with many genres"...pop rock, classical, alternative rock, RnB, Rock, Space Rock, Electro, Heavy metal "and more" :)
thecitizenme 1 year ago
@JochenHadley
.

@Joe22c exactly!..>:(...MUSERS ARE ON THE RAGE!...XD

Actually I like it. Yeah. It's striking the contrast between the peaceful feeling of Exogenisis and the hopless feeling of Creep. The end of the song is pretty cool. You've guts for sure.

I believe that the lead singer of Muse had a dream in which Thom Yorke appeared miraculously before him and then fucked him in the ass. Now I think he has "Stockholm Syndrome" (get it?) And now he must mimic him become him and be one with him once more in this plane of reality.

@AlucardWhatIwant5 Seriously, please right now look up The National Anthem and tell me how that is ROUTINE. Or "Paranoid Android."
Then watch the video for "Stockholm Syndrome"
Which seems more original or "inspired" Look Muse doesn't care about breaking boundaries in music. Radiohead does. It is that simple. Muse is good. But don't compare a band that is just well.... a "muse" recycling effective but tired musical elements (a lot of which Radiohead perfected and moved on from) to innovators.

at least radiohead didn't sell out and make a song just for the fucking twilight movies. radiohead ftw.
jbarzee89 1 year ago
@jbarzee89 they didn't make any songs for the Twilight movies, you know. Twilight asked for their songs to be in the movies. Get your facts straight before you go ranting about a band.
ginonater 1 year ago
@ginonater
The song for Eclipse was released as a single, separate from any full length album and was titled, "Neutron Star Collision, (Love is Forever). HMM?? Listen to the song, and you might just draw a few parallels to the twilight story. Either way, Muse is a great band but will never be as original or unique as Radiohead is.
jbarzee89 1 year ago
@jbarzee89 Muse created the song sometime before The Resistance and did not want it on the album so they kept it. Twilight wanted Muse in the new movie so they asked them if they had any songs for it and they allowed them to use Neutron Star Collision. Matt Bellamy wrote Love Is Forever because of his breakup with Gaia, his then girlfriend. Beyotch.
ginonater 1 year ago
@jbarzee89 According to Matt Bellamy in an interviewed I heard, Neutron Star Collision and Supermassive Blackhole are intended to be ASSOCIATED with Twilight, but NOT written for Twilight.
In other words, Muse let two songs be "used" by Twilight, while those songs themselves were not written for twilight nor property of twilight.
