I just came across with this song while listening to sky.fm's vocal new age. It's listed there as "Cora O'Donovan - Musa Mare Lullaby" :) have fun all my friends!
The tensions in Vietnam were present long before JFK went to power. Though they (the both of them) helped to escalate the conflict by sending advisors in Vietnam (which JFK planned to bring back after he was reelected). But JFK never planned to send troops in Vietnam. Furthermore, when JFK was being buried, LBJ changed the memo made by JFK to bring back the advisors, into further escalation of the conflict by sending troops.
Not correct. The Eisenhower Administration committed U.S. military advisors & the 1st ground troops in 1959. This was after the French surrender @ Dien Bien Fu in 1954. This war had been going on since 1946 after the French refused to honor their commitment to grant independence to French-Indochina after WW-II. J.F.K. signed an Executive Order
1 week before his assasination to start the withdrawl of all U.S. forces & it was to be completed by Dec. 1964.
"some men see things as they are and say why..I dream things that never were and say why" beautiful...wish someone like him was around today...we really need people like him..will be missed for ever
All these RFK tributes are so sad. I am 'only' 47 but know what a lasting difference he would have made, which is why he was murdered. Time someone from the 'clan' picked up the torch.
Im sure everyone has seen the film "13 days" if you have'nt it'such a great movie and shows well Robert and John's closeness during the cuban missle crises.
I have a small room with nothing but posters, buttons, videos, books etc about Bobby. He has been my hero since I was 16, and as far as I can tell he has no competition. Too bad our children and grandchildren have no one they can love and respect this way.
Again, I don't know..I'll be honest, I took it from LimeWire...it was listed as "Drifting" from her Enya's newest album, "Amarantine"..I have had no luck finding this song anywhere else.
It could be argued that the death of RFK was the worst loss America has ever known. He tried to repair America in a time of divisions, unrest, and war. He would have saved lives, given hope to those who had none, and brought racial reconciliation. He would have been President but instead was killed in the prime of his life. We will never see another one like him. His death was no doubt one of our greatest tragedies.
He should've been our President. 1968 was his time to shine. What's so sad, what's so hurtful, so tragic is that this didn't happen. Looking at this video, and all the RFK footage out there, one can't help but get the feeling that he would've been the underdog's President. There were a lot of underdogs in the America of 1968 that needed a leader and RFK was perfect for the part. RIP, Senator Kennedy.
I find it amazing. people who didnt go out on a limb like he or his family, who wouldnt put their life on the line as they did, would do nothing but nit pic, he wasnt a saint, but he and his brother wanted to help america and RFK went out to help the poor in mississippi, why dont some of you who have a problem with RFK run for public office. oh i get it...no guts.
when he was buried, people said that he was "AS CLOSE AS A WHITE PERSON WOULD EVER BE TO BEING A SOUL BROTHER"
This is really good. I really liiked your choice of music. I have read so much on Robert and the rest of his family, they have been through so much. The video brought a little tear to my eye.
Beautiful! This was a fitting tribute. The song seemed to end abruptly, but then so did RFK's life, which you stated at the end of the film. Well done!
Damn shame he was killed. I happen to believe this country would be a whole lot different today if he had lived to be president; I happen to think this country would be better if Teddy Kennedy would run and win the presidency. Though, he has a past that no doubt would come back to haunt him.

Correction, while the album is Wendy Stark, it appears she is the song writer, the voice is indeed Enya.
