Guys here is the solution...

The last step is important!

step 1: execute the game.

Step 2: minimize it by pressing ALT+TAB.

Step 3: open any video or movie (on repeat) in Windows Media Classic only. (other players are may be not supported I experienced)

Step 4: mute the video or movie played.

Step 5: open up the game window.

Step 6: JUST ENJOY the full frame rate game without lagging.

Step 7: "Please pray for "justkid415" and for me too... Always when you play the game.

I'm running the 2011 IPL mod ATM and it's not too bad, but the limitation of the character heads is VERY apparent.

I was kinda hoping there was a 'real' mod that someone had made, with skins and all, where Warney LOOKED like Warney (the pre-emaciated / metro sexual one!) etc. But I doubt that's possible given how much work something like that would involve...(?)

the game it self is a bug so to fix the lag just turn on windows media player and minimise it and keep it on mute and turn the game with high settings the game wont lag

I'd imagine the fact that these games aren't available in North America is why I NEVER heard of them. I didn't think anyone would ever bother to make a Cricket videogame but...why not.

@mynameiswestlife try this, play a video clip on windows media player and keep it on repeat and mute the video, then launch ashes and let the video clip run in the background, and play with crouds, it shouldn't lag. it works for me, let me know if it does for u.
