@lukespringate This is always said without fail whenever Nokia tries anything exciting and different. i mean, sure, the swipe up and down is a little weird, but seriously, use this phone for 2 minutes and the iOS feels 5 years old in comparison. diversity in an industry isn't such a bad thing when you consider the alternative is playing safe and boring and being labeled an 'iphone rip-off'...like nokia has in the past.

@BrEnNo1023 I work for a digital agency - we develop apps for different smart phones, iPhone, Android etc etc. I will admit iOS5 feels dated. I'm just not a fan of this particular UI, meego feels nasty compared to the new WP7 interface... I know many will probably disagree with me there, but after using the Nokia Lumia the N9 feels incredibly dated and clunky. I find WP7 exciting and different, typographically, imagery - IA, UX are fantastic. Meego just feels like an old fashioned OS.

@lukespringate i see meego as having the familiarity and simplicity of symbian with the innovation of wp7. elements of wp7 like the endless swiping seem fun, while the wall of apps in the menu are very symbian - how it's always been. end users will be able to pick it up and play around with it and learn quickly, that's how it seems anyway. i've owned symbian and maemo5 in the past and i'm planning on staying with windows phone for a long time now, so that's basically why meego interests me

@BrEnNo1023 tbh I was never really a fan of symbian - a little too buggy for me, But I understand your appreciation for Meego's interface, again not a fan. I've been playing on the Galaxy S2, Lumia, HTC sensation etc and I own a 4S... And I will admit I absolutely LOVE the WP7 interface - more so than iOS5 - you will not be disappointed if you go for the Lumia. The only people who complain about WP7 interface are people who bum apple, or who have no idea about UI/UX Design.

Best thing about the Meego OS on this Nokia is that it runs very well on a single core 1 GHz processor. All you Android fans out there, your OS runs JAVA apps and needs 1.5 GHz dual core processors = dead battery in 8 hours. This Nokia wont drain the battery sitting on your desk for 8 hours.

@sKunKeNsTeiN There is a difference between polycarbonate and regular plastic that is used in your charger. Jetting hot polycarbonate into a mold causes the colour to change if the pressure/temperature is not right. It will get streak marks and look ugly.

This is not a ordinary N9, it's one of that modified N9 that runs Windows Phone Mango (because it has these buttons in its side). So you managed to install the Meego firmware in it? Very promising, so US customers might will have a chance to install a decent OS in their Nokia phones.
