I am only voting yes on it because in paragraph 5, it says that it can be amended and it is a good base for a movement that is long overdue. Marijuana should not be treated like alcohol. I live in California and I am against prop 19 simply because of how it is written. I am only voting yes on it because in paragraph 5, it says that it can be amended and it is a good base for a movement that is long overdue. Marijuana should not be treated like alcohol. Alcohol is a substance that makes people more violent and act irrationally. Marijuana makes people chill out and stop caring about everything for a couple of hours. After listening to Ron Allen (a former drug addict) I think that he may be off the wagon, WTF was he trying to say. I think a good answer to his rant is racial profiling is a problem in the law enforcement arena. It does not matter what the law is, minorities consistently carry the burden of suspicion, arrests and convictions.
Any opposition to ending prohibition supports the status quo and allows for the exploitation of the people (children) by both drug dealers and the federal government.
