@Sharkbowl3000 I know what I'm talking about, I watch Primeval, they show Velociraptor with Giganotosaurus, I can easily tell that is not true, Velociraptors live in Mongolia while Giganotosaurus lived in Argentina, they also show deinychus living with Spinosaurus, Deinychus lives in Montana while Spinosaurus lived in northern Africa, so I can tell place an time differences. If you were to Watch Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia, it would show Giganotosaurus and Argentinasaurus living together, Al

guys guys maybe ur both right, it could be possible that for example, IF argentinosaurus existed for 4 million years it could be that for two million years there were mapusauruses and for another two million years there were giganotosauruses. it could be that maybe both therapods existed with the argentinosauruses, but at different times.

It's a very common misconception that Giganotosaurus lived with eachother. 'Both lived in South America' does not mean they lived with eachother.

For the 20th time, Giganotosaurus is 2 million years older than the Mapu or Agentinosaurus. Hell, I'd say it's be a good guess that Mapusaurus is Giga's direct decendant.

People make mistakes like this a lot. Just look at Spinosaurus and Ouranosaurus. They didn't live with eachother either.

@sharkbowl300 what source are you basing this on? every article, documentary, encyclopedia, and paleontologist ive ever read or heard has said that gigananotosaurus and argentinosaurus live in the same time period, and if im not mistaken argentinosaurus fossils have been found in the stomach cavity of giganantosaurus fossils. That is fairly contradictory to your last statement. Lets keep this civilized, we dont want to sound like that other guy.

@natesdevices Looking through lists of fauna from the Candeleros Formation (where Giganotosaurus was from) will show you Argentinosaurus is not from there, and instead, it is the Huincul Formation, which is 2 million years younger, that has Mapusaurus and Argentinosaurus.

@sharkbowl300 the information i have obtained after all my years of studying paleontology in what ever spare time i have, quite a bit, says that they both lived about 90 million years ago, one could have gone extinct before the other, but they still lived together at some point.

@DarthZillasaurus It's a common mistake that Gigantosaurus lived with Argentinosaurus, when it was a close cousin of Giganotosaurus, Mapusaurus, that lived with Argentinosaurus.

I'm surprised this show managed to get that right, considering it is constantly placing animals that didn't live together with eachother.

@sharkbowl300 thats not right at all. Giganotasaurus remains were found next to argentinosaurus remains. Giganotasaurus lived in argentina with the argentinasaurus . Bite marks found on the fossils only matched those of a Giganotasaurus. Get your facts straight.

The largest Argentinosaurus fossil was unearthed in Argentina and a highth of over ten feet. Look it up. Other remains were found with bite marks only matching those of Giganotasaurus. Giganotasaurus remains were found in Argentina. Most of which were found next to the remains of Argentinosaur herds that became fossilized however way they were. true fact

As I said, despite both animals being found in Argentina, it was Mapusaurus who was found next to Argentinosaurus. Giganotosaurus is a few million years younger and from a different formation.

I blame 'Chased By Dinosaurs' for this, they just had to put the two together when they didn't live with eachother...

@sharkbowl300 Again, dont be naive. Skeletal remains of giganotasaurus were found in the Canderelos formation in 1993. Ruben Carolini found their remains in the candeleros foration.

All my soruces say Mapusaurus lived with Argentinosaurus. Giganotosaurus is a few million years older and from a different area.

Also, it's VERY unlikely two huge predators could coexist. They were the same size, lived a very similar life style...Yeah, it makes no since for the two to have lived together.

@sharkbowl300 actually, that is where your wrong. your way off in size comparison. Mapusaurus was relatively smaller than giganotasaurus. T.rex was about 13 meters in length. Mapusaurus was 12. Giganotasaurus was about either 1-2 meters longer than t.rex. Still not as powerful as rex though, giganotasaurus was a super Carnivore that was capible of killing Mapusaurus with ease. Fact is that you are wrong. Get over it. BTW: I dont watch chased by dinosaurs. Your wrong about that too.

The largest Giganotosaurus is 13 CENTIMETERS longer than Sue.

Mapusaurus, Giganotosaurus, T.rex, and all other giant therapods were all the same size range. You sound so silly saying 'giga could kill mapu with ease'. These are animals, not pokemon. And either way they still filled the same niche, hunting giant Sauropods, so yeah, makes no sense.

Still yet to see a soruce saying Giganotosaurus and Argentinosaurus lived together (which they didn't).

How do you know that they didnt live together, or that giganotasaurus didnt actively hunt argentinosaurus and battle Mapusaurus for territory? second, Giganotasaurus were estimated to be 45 feet in length. again, your wrong. and pokemon? really? your so naive. I have yet to see a source that prooves first hand that Mapusaurus hunted Argentinosaurus either.

If you actually did some research, then you'd know that Mapusaurus wasnt top dog of its time or area. Giganotasaurus was and is. Explain to me why a Giganotasaurusskeloten 70% complete was found in the SAME REGION AS ARGENTINOSAURUS IN 1993 BY A GUY NAMED RUBEN CAROLINE?!?! Then and only then, you may respond to this. It better be a logical one.
