An Italian American who loans money to the mafia? That is a valid excuse for an ad like this. And it's not stereotyping Italians as mobsters, it's stereotyping mobsters as Italians. Which, in the case of the mobsters involved in the ad, is true.

I think you need to relax a little.  German-Americans don't object to the portrayal of all Nazis as Germans, because it's true. And the fact is, all members of the mafia are/were Italian. No one claims all Italians are mafia.
