  • gotta love froadin in crocs ;D

  • These need lockers, other than that great for offroading.

  • Nice but if u invest on some M/Ts that hill climb would of been a walk in the park for the P38

  • Nice vid mate, I have a 97 p38 2.5 dse, very impressed so far, a little on the sluggish side but hey, it's not breaking the bank. Not done any real off roading as of yet, but will in due course

  • @MrTimmotool - Good stuff. Well, as you can see, I can clearly vouch for their ability off road.

  • I love these cars

  • I have a p38a I love these cars.

  • you wouldn't fancy selling your 4.6 by any chance?

  • @85rangie - If I did, I'd buy another one. Why do you want mine, 85Rangie? I've done nothing to it except for an iPod stereo. Message me privately if you wish to pursue. Always open to offers.

  • Something must be wrong with those range rovers... they don't appear to be leaking oil.

    Just kidding (mostly)! Great vid.

  • @Dwealdric - Range Rovers don't leak oil. They mark their territory. LOL.

  • @smeary10 Yeah and it's automatic rust proofing!

  • disco 2s are much better offroad as their antirollbars disengage to give better articulation or summut like that anyways

  • The Disco body, engine bay and passenger compartment is built as a monocoque, which is mated to a basic ladder-chassis holding the gearbox and suspension. It claimed to combine the virtues of both systems, but does make the Discovery 3 uncommonly heavy for its size stunting on-road performance and off-road agility, especially in soft ground such as sand. This was one of the reasons that the new Discovery became the first Land Rover to be offered with a rear locking differential. RR is different.

  • just proves why land rover build the best 4x4xfar

  • i love rangies. they do very well offroad even when they're stock w/ street tires. haha ;)

  • Nice stuff Smeary10. Dunno about those red shoes, but I guess they're easy to get mud off. :)

  • LOL> That's my mate. Mine are purple.

  • Hi mate, what do you think of the 2.5 Diesel versions to these? Any good for offroading? Or "sticky" situations?

My mates going to sell me the 2.5 Diesel version to it and was wondering what its performance would truly be.

    Regards.

  • G'Day Cube. We never got the oil burner here in Oz in the P38. I would be pretty confident in it's ability though. There's enough torque with all of the petrol V8's and the same would be said about a diesel. Remember that torque lifts you up things like rocks and mountains. It won't help in slippery stuff as you can see in this vid. Check out my other vid which is more rock hopping etc... But, yes, the diesel P38 would be a ripper.

  • Sweat!! His selling it for 2K (euros.)

  • Very nice session!!

  • Merci. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir.

  • Bravo pour cette réponse en français!! Où avez vous appris cette langue ?

  • Je dois être honnête. Google traduction est un outil merveilleux. Bon vous parle, mon frère. Un autre amateur de Range Rover.

  • alot of the ranges dont need them for some reason :S

they have that electric malarke the defenders dont have

  • Not this one mate. You're thinking of "Terrain Control". Mine is WAY too old for that malarke, but you're right in saying that it allows better performance without the need for mud tyres, diff locks etc....

  • Man that looks like a good time love the

    Videos, Land Rovers are great.

  • You're right there mate. A couple of beers and a bottle of Cab Sav round an open fire later than night went down well while we told our war stories of the day. Good time had by the boys. That's for sure.

  • why no mud tyres???

  • Thanks mate. I must admit reliability issues. I spent close to $8K in my first year with my P38. All Electronic Air Suspension replacements. But now she's great.

  • Very impressive, pretty hardcore off roading! I wouldn't mind one of these but I'm concerned about reliability and the airbag suspension. Any problems experienced with yours? Is the airbags expensive to replace? Thanks

  • On their way mate. Mud tyres, snorkel, diff-locks. That's all I need to start with. They would have made a BIG difference.
