Vague story. They specify that "commercial gambling" is illegal, which apparently is when one skims profits off the top. But then they make general statements about "your penny game". So they didn't answer clearly - if I'm not skimming off the top, is hosting a game illegal???

Ben Franklin said "Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy." Over 100 years later, some fools in Congress tried to legislate morality by passing the 18th Amendment (prohibition). Of course, it didn't work. Everything went underground. Problem drinkers got worse. History is now repeating itself. We can choose to treat poker as a crime and drive it underground, or we can tax and regulate it and make it safer for problem gamblers.

Listen, I had some buddies that I played Texas Hold'em with in college and he flat out told me, it was legal to play cash games as long as NO RAKE is being taken- he did take a rake, but it had to be over a certain amount in the pot, which I think was $5-10. I wish the Feds would just leave it alone. It's not doing any harm...
