wow if you look at the jeep when it does its first roll the passengers head is out side the jeep you both are really lucky every jeep sould have a cage glad your ok
Thats a good group of friends right there. That is what wheeling is all about. Thats why we all buy recovery gear.. Nice. Glad you guys are ok and the Jeep didnt look that bad..
first I would like to say I am glad to hear that those involved were ok... second I'd like to say thats a testament to the jeeps ability, whether rolling on its wheels or on its top. third... some of these comments on here are very tasteless...
@2bornottoby ...I hear ya but when your friend and his wife are tubling end over end down a trail and you don't know if your taping them dying...the last thing you want to do is just that...tape it. Reason for the video is to remind of the dangers of our hobby...it can be great but can also be equally as dangerous...
that angle was a very wrong place to stop that vehicle for letting the car come back and then making that strong brake, he should have kept the wheels turning slowly instead of stopping the car in that much high angle..
@minero73mx I'm pretty sure that an XJ would have rolled right there doing what they did. It kind of looks like he stalled, then stopped, then let off the brakes. It seems as though if he had at least cranked the wheel over to bring it around he may have been in much better shape
@minero73mx Damn jealous XJ drivers, they all secretly want a Wrangler! I'm pretty sure if you did the exact same thing with a XJ you would've wound up with the exact same results!
No matter how good a driver you are or how great your rig is, accidents happen and this was a total accident...I hope "Wild Bill" and his wife were ok and he got her all fixed up and back on the trails!! "Wild Bill" is now "Mild Willy" ;) lol
@PirateJeep Take it easy Pirate, as you must know, XJ and Wranglers drivers have been historically are in a some sort of conflict, that's just for fun, we are all the same, wranglers and XJ basically the same pile of broken welded and rusty shit, and both are fun as hell.
Accidents happen, we are all on the same risk, it is matter of time, I sincerelly hope wild Bill and his co-pilot are ok.
I do have to say one thing I have always like abut off-roading over the years. Is the people they for the most part lookout for eachother which say a lot about the us off-roaders as a whole.
The only thing that really scares me is when I see multiple 4x4's on a steep incline, I mean if the Jeep that rolled was in the frount that would be a very bad situation.
@VTmtRescue .....You was not there. I was. Everything was being done to effect a safe recovery. Everyone pitched in and did what they could. I administerd first aid to the man and kept him from going into shock. We check on them before we left and they were doing well.
that's exactly why I always place mine in my rear seat lashed down with strap ties! Some guys even take off their spare tire...I don't go that far though!
@smundara lol thank god? this was part of gods divine plan.... im sure god went out of his way to make sure they survived while millions of kids die every year of hunger.
Thats one of the best roll video's I've seen mostly because it shows the recovery of the 4x4 and that it shows the fact that sometimes people do get hurt. I'm glad to see they walked away from it and I hope they dont give up on such a great sport.
WOW:-) Great to see all you guys & girls pitching in, and doing everything you can to help...
Just shows a minor error can have big concequences... All those vehicles look really well prepared, and everyone was enjoying a great day out....... I hope I can ride with a crew like you if I ever get the chance... Hope everything turned out ok in the end

I heard Wranglers weren't that great as offroaders, but this looks more like driver error to me. He hesitated and allowed the vehicle to stop. Rule number one - NEVER allow the vehicle to lose its engine control. I've seen a landrover do something similar, roll upright and drive off with a very red faced owner.
Let me point out the obvious at 1:18 never put your arm out the window, NO ONE is strong enough to hold up the wait of I a jeep. I seen a guy loose his arm that way. Glad they are safe.
Wow, this is really incredible to see and the story behind it is very powerful. I have never had a chance to take my Jeep off-roading like this, but when I do I certainly hope it is in the company of people as nice as this crowd! Hope the recovery was quick and that the damage to the Jeep wasn't too extensive, such a nice rig! 0|||||0
Amazing video and a total testament to what makes a true wheeler. Read the story and look at everyone going out of their way to help. Should serve as an example to all of us.
lift kit threw it off balance it looks like. doesn't look like it was at a very steep angle for it to just flop over

Great Rollover!
Some of the worst driving that I have ever seen or
actually some of best if you consider the results.
That was not even a moderately difficult drive to make.
Giving up and not giving some gas and steering left/right
was instant start of that rollover.

That Wrangler is jacked sky high and coupled with narrow and short wheelbase, you get a real unstable situation.
