With hindsight, the Britpop era of the 90's were a golden age which threw up many gems which went by and largely unnoticed and this was one of them.I can't believe I'm nostalgic for the 90's.Just goes to show, today's newspaper won't always necessarily be tomorrow's fish n chip wrapper.
Cute video and song for sure. A move away from their first record. I remember seeing Lauren singing Don't Falter at Shepherds Bush Empire as an opening act for The Charlatans a long time ago. At that time I had no idea about Kenickie. Became a fan of their girl-rock sound, only after they had split-up.
I wonder; since Lauren hosts a couple of music shows now, has she ever had to introduce Coldplay's "Fix You?" And if so, did she point out that the swines nicked her theme?? :O
All the best bands have minorities or majorities in them, in this case the red hair is the pushing force behind the blond beauty with her foot on the monitor!!
I think he/she is trying to say, they looked like an honest bunch of kids who didn't have huge plastic breasts or any other plastic feature. The Geetarist was ginger too, a down to earth crew.
i hve no idea what im trying to say here just an observation, not that i listened to the spice girls, im just very knowledgable of embarressing facts,
johnny x (the bloke) is the drummer, it's just a video.. they didn't record it like that, otherwise they would have microphones wouldn't they.. silly billy..
Come on, someone must have In Your Car... I was at the Astoria gig and when the support was on Lauren walked past us - crikey she's a big girl. Mind you I am a short arse...
Finally! I agree more Kenickie is needed. They should never have taken the guitar away from Lauren,as much as I've had a crush on her for ten years now, she can't dance for shit.

Tragically, the singer Lauren Laverne is now a socio-media commentator on British national television. Tragic, isn't it?

Lalala the sun shines and a thing happened, stuff and things and other stuff and then the man said something and everything was ok.
Brilliant lyrics/singing.

Kenickie were great. This should have been massive. Lauren Laverne was gorgeous. Still is.
I used to get Kenix. Even wrote a few bits for it too. Long time ago now...

I'm in pieces, does no one see it?
I am stronger on the outside.
It's easy when you know why.
This feeling sad, it's not so bad.
I've got friends who lift my spirit
I've got songs that no one hears

I went to the Wolves gig on their last tour. Jonny X came in munching a huge box of jammy doughnuts, and got jam all over Lauren.
I think I knew then it was all going wrong, the gig didn't feel right. Still, thank crikey I got to see them.
Now, can anyone post the Rosita vid?
