@unnix What are you on about?Short of taking the boar on one-on-one (you would be killed),hunting with dogs gives the boar a reasonable chance.They are an introduced,feral pest that causes untold damage to native flora and fauna,so it would be stupid and counterproductive to give too much of an advantage.They just don't need it.I am not a hunter but I can see the need of culling all wild pigs.All death is violent,there is no nice way of killing.Better a dead pig,than a dead native animal.

@laiosto i Agree in all your points....all i am on about is that it isnt nessesary to risk injuring a poor dog in the process, and even though boars are an introduced pest and must be dealt with, they are still living and highly intelligent creatures capable og feeling pain, so tormenting (spelling ?) them aint right. Just shoot them fast and easy with at high caliber rifle please.

@Svemallam ummm no your argument isn't sound, as much as I don't like the thought of killing animals their population is becoming a nuisance to the point where they are damaging the ecosystem. They are labelled as pests where I come from and kill loads of other native animals and plants. So for me a few dead pigs is better than extinct species if you allow these wild pigs to multiply like crazy.

Jake he gave us just enough time for me to get my son to safety that was only 5 yrs old. Needless to say they killed Jake. Will never for get that dog. I was talking to someone else and a nieghbor and they were saying this is why Wild Life and Game managment have special hunts. To try to keep the population under control And is still not enough,as I seen first hand

Hey. I have to say I'm glad someone keeps the hog population down or it would be even worse with the damage they cause in neighbor hoods just in the city limits. Veggie farms around the world from USA, EUROPE,Australia Africa used to have millions and billions of animals but since the land became veggie land the animals on that land are extinct. Thanx peta and vegetarians for killing billions of animals! When peta comes to NAMIBIA to take pics of wild animals they have to do this on conservationist properties and trophy farms. If they visit the veggie farms they will go back home with hardly any pics of animals.
