  • very lovely- thank you for sharing

  • amazing video, absolutely beautiful

  • This must've been around the time the whistle was switched from the thunderous Hancock 3-chime to the B&O 5-chime. That was then taken off for her orginial (original afer restoration) Western Maryland 3-chime and now wears an Illinois Central Steamboat (3-chime) whistle.

  • Simply awesome vids, never get to see them in pristine snow like that. Would have been nice to see a caboose following the train home.

  • @RealJeep The caboose was on the train in the morning but developed brake problems and was dropped on a siding in the narrows after one or two runbys. The crew at the WMSR shops brought it back to the yard and had it fixed and ready to go the next morning.

  • Very nice. Next time tilt up so the locomotive is towards the bottom of the frame and exhaust is more prevalent. Look at period footage form the steam era and you will see what I am referring to. A lit kerosene switch lamp on a switch stand or two would also add greatly. Nice job. Stay warm.

  • the echo is amazing

  • STACK TALK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That is freakin AWESOME!!!

  • Fantastic !! Thank you !!

  • Awesome!

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • words cant explain

  • There is just nothing more beautiful than a steam locomotive running in the snow. This is just absolutely phenomenal. We don't get to see this as often as we'd like to (at least I don't). Plus, I love the sound of #734's Hancock 3-chime. This is, without a doubt, one of the best videos, if not the best video, of a steam locomotive in the snow. Congratulations on making such a good video. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up from me. This video deserves nothing less.

  • Like that haunting whistle echoing around the mountains, and the awesome power of a steam engine hard at work. Thanks.

  • This video left me speechless and in sheer awe. It's breathtaking and inspiring and rather heart breaking in that I wish I was born 80 years earlier to witness this; steam at it's finest, not as a once-in-a-while tourist attraction. This video is truly a work of art; there are not enough superlatives to describe it. Congratulations!

  • Just outstanding! This brings chills down my spine to hear a beautiful Hancock 3 chime, a 2-8-0 hard at work putting a photo charter, and to do it in blizzard? Jaw-dropping with anxiety.

  • Excellent video. Very nicely done. Winter is just great time to film a steam locomotive.

  • I was wondering, how much did that camera cost because I am trying to find the best deal on HD cameras

  • AAhhh that was a wonderfull video all that snow steam and the sounds that engine made just SWEET!!!!!!

  • nice
