We Are Given 7,000 Years

God makes a connection for us between the Flood and the end of the world. In Noah’s day, God gave the world seven days to get into the safety of the ark. God has related the statement “a day is as a thousand years” to this topic. The Flood occurred in 4990 BC and if we count 7,000 years from 4990 BC we arrive at the year 2011 (remember there is no year 0). The Rapture May 212011 and the end of this world will be October 21 2011..5 months of torment!! Hell on Earth.!!

AMEN!! THERE IS NO RAPTURE! The Second Coming and the Rapture are both ONE and the SAME EVENT! Once this event takes place, all the righteous living and dead are "caught up", and the earth will be laid desolated for 1000 years, with Satan bound to this earth. He will have a 1000 year vacation! The saints will reign in heaven with Christ for 1000 years before returning to earth with the New Jerusalem. The wicked will all resurrect, Satan deceives them, and they all meet their judgment!

Could you please provide me the scripture that shows that there is a rapture preceding a Second Coming? And also, how does the Rapture account for the fact that the Bible makes it very clear that the earth will be 100% totally depopulated during the 1000 years according to Jeremiah 4:23-28; Isaiah 24:1,3,4, 17-22; Isaiah 13:9; Isaiah 14:15-20; Jeremiah 25:33; Isaiah 26:21, and Revelation 16:18-20???

disease35, 1 Thess 4:13-18 and 1 Cor 15:52 are both after the Tribulation. They are both the Second Coming. Both the Second Coming and the Rapture is the same event. The wicked are destroyed at the same time the righteous are caught up. RIGHT after 1 Thess 4:18, chapter 5 describes more details by calling it "the day of the Lord cometh as a thief in the night", and verse 3 finishes it..."SUDDEN DESTRUCTION cometh upon them...and they shall NOT ESCAPE!"

This is PROOF that it's the same event!

Our eschatological chronology is very simple:

1. Christ's Second Coming -- All righteous dead and living are "caught up" to go to the mansions (New Jerusalem) prepared for us.

2. All wicked living are "destroyed" by brightness of His coming.

3. This leaves only dead wicked left on the planet for 1000 years. Rev 20:5

4. At the end of the 1000yrs, Christ, saints, and New Jerusalem descend back to the earth.

5. Every wicked that ever lived is resurrected. Satan deceives them (loosed).

You need to understand the Adventist eschatology, which is the same eschatology of Protestants prior to the time when the Rapture theory creeped into the Church from the Catholics around 1850.

You must understand, at the Second Coming/Rapture (same event), the Righteous are Caught Up, the Wicked are Destroyed, and the earth is depopulated "as in the days of Noah". Then, for 1000 years this earth lays in ruins with Satan all by himself, and the righteous reign in heaven for 1000 years! :)

Hey, no problem bro. I appreciate your openess. I don't blame u for seeing it that way. That's what most Christians teach. The problem is, 1Thess4 clearly teach we'll be "caught up" into the air, and Jesus aludes to "mansions in heaven" when speaking to Peter. In order to rule on the earth "during" the 1000 years, the saints would be raptured, then placed right back on the earth to rule on the earth, and this makes no sense! Why pick them up and put them back down?

Well, there will be a "rapture' in a sense, but not a "pre-trib" rapture prior to the second coming. It's really simple actually. The rapture takes place at the same time of the Second Coming. All the saings, both dead and righteous, are raptured into the sky, and taken to the New Jerusalem in heaven. The earth is destroyed and laid desolate with not a single soul except Satan and his demons. All the saints reign with Christ in heaven for 1000 years before they return to earth.

There is no rapture my friend. Gods church will be protected here on earth. The day of the lord is a year long. The year when he repays mankind for millenia of sin. Its Gods retribution for satans wrath on his people, a year of death, suffering and unimaginable horror for those on earth. The year God revisits the the blood of his saints throughout the ages on the inhabitants of earth. This preacher has his facts all mixed up.

But there are so many passages that tell us the whole world will be completely empty, it is incomprehensible how anyone in a sane mind can come to the conclusion that the saints will not be taken to heaven. Why would God not want his children to experience living in His home for 1000 yrs? Really, to have us stuck on a gross ugly planet for 1000 yrs before its recreated is ludicrous.

The day of the lord is not synonymous with the battle of armageddon. They are two separate events. My goodness. The day of the lord comes on the heels of the tribulation. preceeded by the heavenly signs and finally the return of christ. Anyway, you will not believe this, but its written in your bible. The rest will not live again until the millenia is finished. Heaven is not the reward of the saints. It is rulership over the nations and universe with Christ. Sigh! Reign in heaven over whom? The Angels of God? Gods ministering spirits? Yet the bible says it is all nations of the world? Does this make sense to you? Rev 11 verse 15. @Lysimachus78 "To spare them from destruction" is what most Evangelicals would say. The truth is that man cannot fathom a non-chronoligical history. In fact, it makes no sense. But man's wisdom is God's folly and in His realm a day is as a thousand years. Our clocks will never be synchronized. The false Christs and prophets have been here even before Jesus stepped into the calendar. It's why the angelic host and even Moses shunned worship and veneration. Left behind is a joke, btw.

Yeah, I figured that. But then you would think that Paul or any of the other apostles would have clarified that, that after we are up in the air with the Lord, we'll come right back down. I'm basing this on a "post-trib" rapture. I do acknowledge that man's knowledge is extremely limited, but we are to study diligently, because the Bible says "whoso readeth, let him understand" (Matt 24:15), and John 16:3 mentions how "he will guide us into ALL truth". :)

So when Pentecostalism was being propagated in the minds of the Wesley brothers they were studying the religious practices of the Catholic "Divines". Glossolalia, bilocation, levitation, ecstacies,etc.. The practice that stuck was Glossolalia. When acosted by rapturists the first thing they try to do is get you to speak in tongues and surrender to what they call the "holy spirit" in order to get the same power they have (so you can make the rapture). Reminds me of the Oracle of Delphi...

I don't see any need for correction. You're sorting through the issues much like anyone else. I was making a comment. If it seems ambiguous it's because it is. I think you would do good to examine where the rapturist/ dispensational theory began and why it has so many adherents. It's kinda where the Millerites (later SDA's) but definately Second Adventers began, aswell.

Oh, I know what you mean! yes, good points. But I will say, I have done thorough research on the origins of Dispensational Futurism and the Rapture. Have you read "Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers" by Dr. LeRoy Edwin Froom? It's a 4 Volume set, (4,000+ pages total). It traces not just general history, but gets to the very marrow of the bone as to where Dispensationalism and the Rapture came from.

This is what "looses" Satan from his chain of circumstances. The "beloved city" is the SAME city that "comes down out of heaven". He deceives the nations that they have a chance against the Beloved New Jerusalem. Then, fire comes down out of heaven and DEVOURS them. The earth is then remade new, the saints step out and inhereit it. :)

If you have a mac, then iMovie. If you're on a pc, then windows movie maker i think its called. Both programs should come with the computer. I saw that youtube also accepts flash as well. So yeah, thats if you wanna use a lot of text and or music etc. The quickest easiest way would be jus to record yourself and upload it w/ the tools youtube has. I've been thinking about creating some videos to upload here as well for some time now. Hopefully I can get to that.

There is another 75 days after the rapture for God to pour out His Wrath upon those who have been left behind! Those who have been left behind will never be a part of the New Jerusalem. They do not get a second chance. If they were kind to God's people, they may be part of the Nations surrounding the New Jerusalem in eternity and the camp of God's people during the Millennium.

I think the Bible says that the main rapture is after the 1260 days of the great tribulation but before God pours out the bowls of His wrath.

There is no room to "think" you know what the Bible says, read Proverbs 16. Let the Bible interpret itself, trust me ;) The 1260 days were the days of the dark ages, where the pope dominated and persecuted.
