Sorry for any offence, I just have a prejudice against huge corporations. I am sure there must be brewers in Ireland who could produce some proper stout and porter that has flavour & depth

I like many other will attest to guinness' quality. Guinness is a great drink, I just suppose you really have to get it in the right place. Not all pubs can serve the same great pint! It is a great porter. Albeit there are better. "Plain" being an example [The original Porter] but they are not widley available.
