Seriously, at that time James Hetfield was just as much of a legend as Cliff. If he died instead of Cliff Metallica would have disappeared. I'm not saying that he's in any way a more valuable musician than Cliff but Metallica is not so much about the bass. Considering that James kinda sucks now we can't know for sure if Metallica would have still been good with Cliff alive.

But I love the crazy time signatures on ...And Justice For All. I like that it gives my brain an excercise. Some of those riffs are so hard to follow.

I remember that I knew by heart all the songs, all the moves because I watched it all day. Today it is very easy and you can watch thousand of videos of every gig, what a difference.
