please tell me u actually know how to breed them. the hairless gene is odviously a defect in them and they shouldnt be bred by an ammature due to the fact that poor breeding can cause serious problems for them

bw guinea's and sp's are so cute we just got one today, my first baby boy streaky (hair) and Mr.Muncher (Skinny pig) are like bro's Mr .Muncher was hard to find tho. Streaky keeps Mr.Muncher really warm inside their cozy cup hut!!

They don't get cold, unless you keep them in a freezing room like a basement in the winter (Canadian winters) and a lot of people thing their cute, I had two of them they were amazing pets. :)

I don't think they shaved them, I think some are just born that way. Those cages do look kind of small though. They definitely take on more of their rodent features. Look more like their cavy cousins.

I've never heard of hairless Guinea Pigs. They are so cute looking.. How much do you sell them for? How rare of they to get hold of? I gather they are indoor pets, an not to be stuck out in a hutch. I got an indoor rabbit, love her to bits.

Thank you, they can be found all over, you just have to look hard (guinea pig breeders are frowned upon in the guinea pig world). They could work outside, but they are very susseptable to cold drafts and sunburns.

its pretty touchy breeding these things, I here people have real troubles, one of our first pups had to go to the vet(ear infection caused facial paralysis!?!). But every one is doing fine now, I just hope we can keep up the good luck.
