Apparently it's built from parts found in most hobby/hardware shops so building or replacing parts will be cheaper and efficient. So as opposed to the American UAV, made of custom molded polymers and internal structures costing around $1800, the Japanese UAV may cost as little as your typical enthusiast RC model, around $900.

Badass. What does it do, just a camera? The US has a bigger, heavier and im guessing much, much more expensive unmanned suveilance drone that hovers, but it uses an air thruster and doesn't look anywhere near as impressive or cool as that!

Why don't we just let the Japs rule the world? They seem to be cleverer than the rest of the world. 150 years ago they were technologically primitive, now they've overtaken everybody else by a good margin.
