  • And while were on it, why not release the first 3 wayne county & the Electic Chairs albums from Safari?

  • Funny dream last nite .....about the release of the Live tapes of the Electric Chairs Max's summer 77 concerts when the Gang was at his peak !!!!! Why not ...We did wait for 30 for the STOOGES and Cream reunion ...... We wait more than 30 years for the Cactus (the legendary outfit from Detroit with Rusty Day) Live Albums on Rhino handmade ....So why not a Live Album from Wayne County and the EEEEEeeellleecctrriic CCCCchairs during the summmer of 77 ? I just hope so lol

  • If there are more tapes/videos of the Electric Chairs w/Greg, they should be released by somebody.

    (No yellow hair!!!)

  • Oh hon, where do you keep finding all this footage?????????????????? I remember that! Lenny Kaye played guitar on The Last Time. The French audience was in SHOCK!! lol We were thrown out of our hotel, had a gun pulled on us and chased down the streets by prostitutes!!! Oh the lovelyness of Paris!!! x Jayne

  • Val Haller sent me Peter's diary for 1977 that he saved from being destroyed. It states that this video was filmed on October 20th 1977. You all stayed in france for a couple of days then off to Vienna. Have to send back this memorabilia to Peter. Pierre xox

  • Yes I agree. Gregg is one of the best guitar players of all time! Brilliant!

  • Back in those days....the audiences were not ready for this gang (nor Iggy and the Stooges) ! I am not sure they are ready to day too ? Some genius artists are ahead of their times , so is Jayne ....who brought to Rock MUSIC such TOP musicians : Jerry Nolan , Marc Bell (a.k.a Marky Ramone) Greg Van Cook, Val Haller, the guys from the Miamis among others ! in the field of Vincent Van Gogh, who when he was alive , didn't sell a single painting of his own. Thanks VAL for the lines and news. Richie

  • redtorso is completely right. It was the Palais Des Glaces with Lenny Kaye who from what I remember sort of appeared out of nowhere and started playing on The Last Time!

We did play in Paris at the Bataclan later when our promoter got beat up by the local Mafia in the dressing room and we did a runner in the middle of the night from the hotel! LOL! VAL. PS HI JAYNE Peter and anyone else I knew

  • Val, thanks so much for confirming that it was filmed in France. It's indeed a great performance. Hope you're doing well.

  • In those days.....these guys blew everybody they played with off the stage !!!! thanks Greg for your outstanding stage appearances ....

  • Part 2 :Bassist looks like Val Haller with black shades and a pre-punk haircut !!! Audience looks like french due to this gal in panties (during those days such chicks existed in USA and UK too ....but only in movies lol !)To my knowledge French only Wayne date was at the Palais des glaces in Paris but in late 77...Peter Crowley, please confirm or not ?I just wonder if Patti Smith was in Paris at that time (for Lenny Kaye presence or not ?) Well very hard to say..but a fantastic footage though

  • redtorso - you're right on the show and right about myself and Lenny Kaye

  • GGGGGrrrreeeeatttt foooootage when Wayne was at his/her peak ! with Rock legend , guitar virtuoso ( obviously the BEST gutarist ever who played with Wayne/Jayne )Greg Van cook .... I do think this concert was filmed in early 77 coz Greg still his baby face !!!! Who is the other one ? looks , to my opininion to Lenny Kaye The drummer, hard to identiy even the black no-sleeves tshirt was similar at the ones worn by J.J Jonhson...who always refused to travel by air so not a US consert if J.J s here

  • great performance jayne/wayne, again,, those where the days ;-)

  • this is so fuckin awesome.. my copy is crap quality! thanx so much for this.. im in your debt forever! great show!

  • NO not the Roxy, cause it is not the Electric Chairs! Before that!! Elliot Michaels and Gregg Van Cooke are on guitars!!! I think Elliot is filling in on bass. It looks like that club downtown that had a short run that Peter Crawley ran for awhile in NYC!

  • Jayne, if I'm not mistaken, all the other stuff in the movie was filmed in France. So it's possible it was filmed there. Just a guess.

  • Hey Jayne, What a great performance! I have no idea where this was, but it looks like Kenny AAronson and Greg to me. I'm not hearing a second guitar player (although Greg sounds like there's two). Wish we could see the drummer.

  • Peter , take a look at the new details from Val Haller.

  • I must bow to Val Haller's superior recollection. What a great show!!! What a great band!!!

  • Jayne

take a look at Val Haller's commentaries, he knows more about the show. Pierre x

  • Wow! I had no idea there was so much cool vintage live footage of Wayne/Jayne in existence. Another great find!!

  • That's an incredible find! Where did it come from? I think it might have been shot in London, possibly at the Roxy... any ideas? Love the transformation scene!
