I've had two chows and they both exhibited similar playful behavior! My red girl used to love to have me chase her and she would literally roar and growl with delight. She would hide in the bushes then run out and stop, and stand stock still like yours does, then get all excited and run. Both her and my black boy did this and dig holes, and freeze and stare at me, then keep digging. It is so cute!

Thank you for saving these Chows !! I myself have a shaded Red Chow that I saved from a local shelter that had to have surgery on BOTH hips and BOTH knees. I call her my million dollar dog :-) She is the love of my life though and I would have never made a different decision for her.

there are all kinds of beautiful dogs in the shelters and they come there for many reasons. may people have the resources to keep their pets. may pets always be loved. shelter dogs are the purest of breeds: pure of heart and grateful.

Thank you for saving them! They are beautiful & wonderful! I adopted two chows years ago and they turned out to be the best dogs in the world. Everybody wanted to take them home. It's heartwarming to watch yours playing and to see how happy they are.
