  • The MPAA will make that company's head spin.

  • Why would anyone illegally duplicate the work of someone else, anyway? What's there to gain?

  • @Swampert384 Being able to see the movie at home 14 years before it had a legitimate video release.

  • "You spin me right round baby right round like a record baby," lmao sorry tht just popped into my head when i watched this.

  • Who's saying "Mess with us"? Is it Disney or the pirates? I'm confused...

  • @SomeFluffer64 maybe disney.

  • Oh, but if you mess with me I'll call my mom's lawyer and I'll slap YOU with a lawsuit so fast YOUR head will spin!!

  • FromtheWordsofBR's friends would like to extend their thanks to YouTube Productions, without whose content all of this was made possible.

  • YouTube Productions

Leaders in uploading videos since 2005

  • wowwwwww, are u sure this is real???

  • Oh there is a betamax in 1970's

  • ballin

  • No you spin my head right round!

  • trolling: 1977 style

  • Well, this was pretty subtle.

  • at the end i thought: OH YOU ASKED FOR IT

  • Found this randomly on Google:

"[MPC was a fake company ["Marc Wielage"] ran for laughs while [he] was a college student in the early 70s... 'Miracle Productions Company,' as in 'if it's a good production, it's a miracle.'"

  • @Morality124 Soon after I asked that q, I found the website where you got that info from, but I appreciate the help :).

  • @cr1901 You welcome. :)

  • @Morality124 Wow, nice! I wonder Mr. Wielage knows that this is on Youtube?

  • Well, if the Walt Disney Company found out about this tape, they'd have slapped Miracle Productions "with a lawsuit so fast [Miracle Prod.'s] heads would spin."

  • ßetamax! I love it! I have four tapes so far (and hope to get more), and am looking for a ßeta VCR (I used to have two back in the mid 90s)

  • @fixman88

Hey, how did you get that unique "B" in the word "Betamax" to appear in your message? I didn't know you could do that kind of thing in YouTube comments.

  • @Marbles471 It's an ALT Code. You hold down the ALT key and then press 225 on the numeric keypad on your keyboard. I'm now up to eight ßeta tapes (including Bambi and The Secret of NIMH) and am still looking for a decent ßetamax machine. A while back I got on off eBay that needed fixing that was just like one I had long ago but it had been hit by either lightning or a power surge and was basically ruined.

  • @fixman88

    Well I'll ße damned. =)

Before the video store in my hometown closed down a couple of years ago, it was so old that you could still find a few videos in there that said "Available for VHS and Beta!" Their copy of King Kong was one of them.

Sigh. I'm really going to miss video stores. Netflix is just giving us one MORE excuse to not get off our collective ass. Like we needed another one of those....

  • Mess with us and you'll be slapped with a lawsuit so hard your head will spin.

  • @BenBopper Lol

  • Ah yes, back in the day when authority had a sense of humor.

  • It actully says that? O_o

  • That's funny, Mess with us and you'll be slapped with a lawsuit so fast your head will spin, ooh! I'm scared!

  • This movie means '77 (1977)

  • i lol'd at this XD

  • this is betamax ?

  • Mess with us and you'll be slapped with a lawsuit so fast that your head will spin.

  • could you upload the start of the tape please? thanks!

  • The guy who founded 'Miracle Productions Company" must have had one of the first Chyron machines in his neighborhood!

  • Nice CG for 1977! Even more nice, how a pirate duplicator had access to such - then - advanced technology.

  • The logo at 0:29 scares me!

  • "Leaders in Illegal Betamax recording since '76"

    Classic!

  • @nerdtalk326 you mean '77? 1977

  • Ahh, the good-old-days of audio/video bootlegging and pirating. If only I still had my Betamax, CED player, Wire Recorder and 8-tracks!!!

  • If it's a good picture, it's a miracle!

  • That music could sure use a good tune up. Considering the narrative intros by Deems Taylor showed the orchestra members tuning their instruments.

  • I think I saw someone filming Ice Age 3 in 3D last week.

    When someone buys it...

"Why the heck are there lines? 3D lines?"

I love the music in the Special Feature logo!

    私は誰か3Dの最後の週にアイスエイジ3映画を見たと思う。

    ときにそれを購入...

    "なぜだまされたの線は何ですか? 3Dのラインか? "

    私は特別な機能のロゴの音楽大好き!

  • "Mess with us and you'll be slapped with a lawsuit so fast your head will spin."

  • They're making fun of Disney with that Lol

  • Really? Why not?

  • You got any more info on this "Miracle Productions Company", eyeh8cbs?

  • @cr1901 See my other comment on this vid.

  • reminds me of what pirates used to do with video games on the Commodore 64 back in the day.

  • Oh yeah, forgot about those little messages they used to put on pirated C64 games...I remember seeing a few of them back in the late 80s when I owned one. :-)

  • Those were good times. they really put a lot of work into those splash screens.

  • I thought they were called trainer screens?

  • you could be right, i might be thinking of the screens on video games.

  • HA!! I love it!!!!!

  • Do you have other tapes that have the end tags in it? If you do, please upload them!

  • Bootleg videos were done in style back in the 70s!

Not like today, where you just have a poor-quality AVI of someone filming a new movie with a camera phone slapped onto a DVD-R.

  • Well done for ripping off my comment.

  • I didn't even see your comment until you pointed it out just now, to be honest.

  • Lol, well great minds think alike then :D

  • Heheheh, this is awesome! These pirates have balls. Would love to see where these people are now.

  • FTW

  • For the music used, it's not the Warner Bros. "Corny Concerto" but the last few seconds of "Jupiter: the Bringer of Jolity" by Gustav Holst from "The Planets" suite.

  • Whoops. Misread the program description.

Following all the intros was the Warner Bros. animated short "Corny Concerto." Perhaps the "Merry Melodies" play on Disney's "Silly Symphonies".

  • Great find and a very clever parody of early warning screens!

  • HOLY MOLY! Where did you find this?! I've never seen anything like it! Hey, could you please post more of this video, like what happens at the very beginning, and that "special feature?"

  • Nice

  • Whoa! Disney is tough company. Beware Beta pirates!

  • @Jtaylor1 Funny....... I uploaded Oliver & company on Veoh and it hasn't been taken down yet. The Walt Disney Company are currently a gang of pansies against this stuff.

  • the reason corny concerto was a "special feature" was because it was a parody of fantasia, complete with elmer as the conductor.

  • I love the message at the beginning!

  • Me, too.

  • Wow, now I'm really curious. How many of these underground distributors like MPC existed? Ones that would go to that much trouble to have continuity!

  • AAah, pirates in those days had class, not like the dodgy Asians you get selling camcordered movies on cheapo DVD-R's nowadays.

  • Agreed.

  • :D Thanks dude!

  • LOL - I was at the Ground Zero site to work on a project for a college course and a six-year old Asian kid was selling bootlegs of then current (mid 2004) movies.

Even better than camcordered movies? Someone getting up from their seat and blocking the view!

  • Worst one I saw was the guy filming he movie hid his camera in his popcorn, so you'd see his hand get away every 30 seconds then munch munch munch.

Why the hell do they think that's acceptable to release?

  • LMAO! That's classic!!!! POPCORN CAM!

  • I'm just pleased that he didn't have a hotdog :D

  • Good lord!! That could have been interestig... :-D

  • Depends on the angle of the hotdog, I may think I'm watching a porno at some points. :D

  • LOL!!!!!

  • Interesting...that a bootlegger would even go to such lengths....

  • XD I think that should be the other way around.

  • Can you upload the beginning please?

  • There was nothing at the beginning of the tape that wasn't on the film print- it had an MPAA "G" rating tag and the same opening title card as the versions that are out now. Don't want to put up anything that could make Di$ney cry copyright infringement, though I hope this gives them a good laugh if they see it!

  • I wouldn't give a sh** if I were you. Besides, they need to be punished for being so greedy.
