Don't sweat the rough surface on the top of the dash. All that came from ocean salt when the radio was a inoperable mantle piece. I will call it the Salty Dog 2000. The project box is a great idea. I really like the push button channel option. I can't wait for the Cobra 29 build and the Realistic TRC-442 mod (a nostalgic CB for me)
