You can put anything you like in the filling. Use prepared apple pie filling with a little cinnamon and raisins added for a sweet filling. You can also use cheese, sausage and spinach for a savory filling, brush egg on the outside and sprinkle coarse salt or italian seasoning instead of the sugar you would put for sweet filling. Great fun to use a variety of fillings.
