@pastorjim87 For a know it all you really dont know enough to be making knowledgable comments. This was not a supercross. It was the Mickey Thompson Series.

Most MXers today are still damned tough, but we do now have some puusies in the sport. For example, Bubba missed 3 races just from watching this video.
@thedeem0N you got to remember, this was a heat race to get into the main event. Stanton and Ward may have been in another heat. This was a time when the MX and SX guys were tough.
Damn, Check out the Larry's bad ass crash at 2.25 in the video. Then he gets up and in order to finish and score points he push's his bike across the finish line.
they had the jumps like that because in the same day they raced the trucks there and the regulation suspension on them can't take the whoops on supercross tracks.
@standardgear It does put more pressure and fatigue on your suspension and bike, but as far as the frame goes you would have to use all of the travel in your suspension frequently to start seeing metal fatigue in the frame.
what happened to his bike? IT looked like it bump started on the back side of the finish line jump.?Somebody please explain why he was pushing his bike around .
Supercross have changed a lot in 10 years.

theres no whoops and their jumping to flat for some reason..
it would have been easier for larry brooks to give that 2 stroke a single kick and ride to the finish instead of pushing a 200- 240 pound dirtbike
standardgear 2 years ago
Did you not see the bike ghost ride to the bottom of that ramp and land on the throttle housing.

Dogman36 2 years ago
they raced trucks on those tracks back then? if so i had no clue i was wondering why that track looks so crappy for motocross/supercross
i say its crappy cuz i hate jumping to flat, it just feels so bad for bike suspension and frame. jump to flat enough times youll snap your frame.
