  • sleeping kitty

  • Great job. Cute kitty too.

  • n1 Andrew!!

  • how long did it take everyone to see the cat asleep beside him ? me i noticed it when it yawned

  • Thank you for posting all the tabs - I have a hard time finding guitar songs to learn and now I have a good few >:) It's amazing how you manage to keep the feelings of each song when playing it acoustic-style ... great job.

  • damn man, you are seriously talented. i'm LOVING these aphex covers. amazing attention to detail. you must have one happy cat. gets to lay around listening to pretty aphex twin guitar and sleep!

  • this is one of my favorite songs to play now. thanks a ton for tabbing and playing so well! sounds amazing :)

  • Hi, awesome cover! I would like to play it on piano, could you help me wth the sheets or transcription, cause i dont understand the tab, or how can i read it (for piano off corse), thanks

  • @MultiCamaya Hmm you should know wich notes are played on what frets in order to transcribe it. Then learn to read a tab, wich is not very difficult. Good luck with that

  • Love it, thanks a bunch for the tab!

  • THE CAT IS LOVING THIS SHIT!!!

  • Were u at the kazbah in San Diego?

  • nice wedding ring, can you really play?

  • Wonderful! And you probably get this a lot but your cat is REALLY cute!

  • I cant thank you enough for this tab. Ill be playing this for the rest of my life

  • andrew, i think i told you this before m8, you rock the fucking kazbah bro, still coming back to this video 3 years later, still loving hearing this cover too <333333

  • Great work man!!!

  • i think about 24,846 views are mine.

i watch this video quite often!

  • Very nice! :)

  • very good

  • Wow. Thanks.

Almost upstaged by cat if it weren't for the fact that the two things (composition and cat) seem somehow inextricably linked.

  • I will happily sit here and say that this is the most amazing thing I have ever heard, its alberto balsalm on the acoustic guitar. Genuis.

  • Mr. Balsalm would like his cat back.

  • Good job. You have played both my favorite songs. Alberto Balsalm and I'm Self Employed.

  • Beautiful work.

  • I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY I CANT TRANSLATE THIS TO PIANO! ITS F**KING ANNOYING!

  • thanks so much for sharing the tabs! have a hard time learning it cause I am absolutely not into fingerpicking, but I am getting into it.

  • Very good !

  • you mimic and float on the melody but miss the essence. Your in a box

  • 16 people STILL like the song... they are just upset that he left out the metal-scraping-metal sound.

  • @ilikemitchhedberg I'm pretty sure it's scissors snipping... just what I always thought it was and I like mitch hedberg too!

  • @ilikemitchhedberg I think it is a chair being scraped as someone is getting out of it.

  • Oh yeah, I remember struggling a bit trying to figure out a simple rendition of avril 14th on the guitar, one pluck at a time. Ever since then I always thought it would be cool to do that to many aphex twin songs, but that it would to difficult for me to figure it out. so i found andrewflanders and i was like ಠ_ಠ

  • @ilikemitchhedberg a guy named hugonitram did a guitar cover of Avril 14th to end all covers of Avril 14th. Regarding other songs; I did, I think, ten songs, there's about 897853 more to go if you want to get in on the action.

  • @AndrewFlanders yeah i kno dat one its da' shiz-nit.

  • I could use all kinds of superlatives to describe what listening to this made me feel, but instead of raving on like that I just have one word; beautiful.

  • Hey Mr. AndreFlanders thank you very much indeed for doing this, it made me pick up my guitar again after a 10 year break. Your tab is excellent and easy to follow, it took me a week to learn this peice and I love playing it. Now im practicing my guitar every day.

Your too kind for transcribing Aphex twins awsome music to guitar and sharing the the tab with us all.

Keep up the good work mate.

  • enjoyed it, thank you

  • You sir are a genius and would like to marry you

  • That is absolutely excellent. Loved that song since I first heard the original back in 7. Found a steel drum version even! Love your guitar version. Just... well well done! (I even put this vid up on my Facebook page. Hope you don't mind.)

  • sir, that was amazing, and ur cat is aderruble.

  • oh yes, thats hit the music g-spot ;)

  • j'adore la façon dont la guitare est jouée, je croyais que le chat était une tapisserie !

ça ressemble à la musique de greys anatomy !

  • beautiful ! Love the way the clip is shot, love the background and the cat :)

  • You capture the song's soul... Damn... Your acoustic guitar put in shame my electric guitar. Nice job... Uhm... Thanks for the tabs, dude.

  • is there any chance you could send me the tab to this song? it is so beautiful.

  • @mynameischloepayne there's tab linked in the description

  • I like how your cat is just chillin' in the background.

  • Well done!! This puts a whole new perspective on a great song.

  • Nice man the pick and cover. The acoustic really brings out the soul that I think RDJ was trying to convey but may be lost to some. So tight work buddy.

  • super

  • hi any chance you could send me the notes?

  • this is an Ovation guitar isn't it?

  • @b2them it's an epiphone eo-2

  • \sounds like a Nola guitar

  • Sounds very cool on the guitar, especially with the harmonics. I also like the cat in the video :)

  • Richard D James, a criminally underrated composer

  • Ok you're a hero dude, this is awesome :D

Definitely one of my favorite Aphex songs!

Going to try and play it myself ^^

  • NIce! i love this song.

  • man, this is amazing, you got me in shock, i jsut cant believe it, it would infinitely thank you if you post tutorials of your covers especially this one and flim

  • would so like to hear this with a string quartet backing.... don't get it wrong, it's extraordinarily good currently... but for me that would be the cherry on the already well iced cake :)

  • @scopeophile That would be cool. I think it would also sound pretty nice with woodwinds.

  • @scopeophile Check out the album "Acoustica-Alarm will Sound performs Aphex Twin" unfortunetly this song isn't on it but it is all acoustic and it is amazing how close to the originals they sound!

  • i wish i was your cat

  • Comment removed

    =love Life= ngyn

  • excellent. I feel like the cat in the background.

  • i wish some day play the music with your vision, im a classical performer, i play the viola, but sometimes the things get so rigid here. Im like playing tense always infront of the people. Please give me your advise, school me in your wisdom. :)

  • very good, i love it

  • kitteh likes sleeping with Aphex Twin on the background :D

  • This guy has stacks of talent...well done

  • Very nice!

  • Very good, man!!! Big up! Really nice!

  • ah man you do such an amazing job on this song! I've been learning alot of your versions like flim, avril 14th, girl boy song, and working on pissed up, and ive almost got this! I just can't get phase D down! if at all you could give me some suggestion or even a walkthrough of how you did it that would be amazing man! thank you very much

  • @clem54321 thanks! although I didn't do Avril 14th, that was someone else. I think I know which part of Pissed Up you're talking about. The trick with everything is to play through it very slowly and gradually build speed later. It was hard for me at first but I wanted to do it and I got good enough at it to record it. You could just skip that part and call it good, but working at it is great practice towards having the ability to play two distinct melody lines at one time.

  • i would like to make a shout out to that cat, it's really hot

  • nevermind, didnt see

  • what song is this?

  • obvious troll is obvious :P

  • fantastic! congrats on your rendition & the tabs

  • yeah, it's such a nice addition :D

  • good job!

  • very nice!

  • is this hard to play?????????

  • some parts are hard at first but after you do it a bunch it feels effortless

  • Soo Good....Love it!

  • really good wow

  • i say an 11 out of 10

  • Awesome ! Really nice ! ; )

  • it´s really nice and i like your cat in the background^^

  • Wow. This is really great. I love it. ;)

  • Brilliant, epic and perfect.

  • the cat likes it. me too :-)

  • Accidently clicked on 2 instead of 5 stars. Sorry

  • wasnt gonna vote but i put 5 stars for you :)

  • Very impressive. Thanks for sharing this.

  • LoL sleepingcat

  • nice cover!

  • hey man I have to say this is brilliant. i'd have to say that AT himself must've written this song in this manner. thanks for this

  • honestly, unlikely

  • im just making the comparison... you look at monkey drummer and its relative tune, and then this played on guitar. It's likely he could have written something with a string structure in mind and converted it from written music to synthesis....

  • i think what it might be is that so much rock, jazz, blues, etc. is written for guitars, bass and a drum kits that electronic musicians unintentionaly hold to the same rhythm and melody conventions even though they have the freedom to go beyond that. Then again there's songs like Ventolin I'd not dream of attempting.

  • the power of music

  • And easy :)

  • Thank you it is perfect!

  • Thank you for this :)

  • Awesome! =)

  • coool, ive listened to a few of these now and what can i say, i spend half the day wonderin where AT gets it from and you can translate it to the guitar!! top marks Andrew**********

  • Quit worrying about getting the tab... this human took the time to learn/tab it themselves and we need to appreciate it for what it is... beautiful

  • No, we ask for the tab in order to play it ourselves, stop deferring to art, the liberal arts majors they nor artistic fortitude to try to create or reinterperet works on their own; they merely defer to the ambitious, revel in their deference for them; why do you care if someone asks for the tab, you're shortchanging yourself by merely admiring the music.

  • if you want the tab so bad then watch the video over and over and use your ears to figure it out.. also, I would recommend deviating from such big words as most of them don't make sense in context

  • cat's lovin it in the background... and so am i...

  • Fantastic, well done.

  • that cats chillin to some aphex twin beauty
