I was also diagnosed with a heart disease. I have always been held back my entire life but still i have played baseball till i hit highschool, but i had open heart surgery on may 10th 6 days before my 10th birthday and had complications with my lungs after and was hospitalized all summer then i was able to return to school on august 24th 5 days before katrina where my house got 9ft of water while my family was in it. I am now in Jrotc and stil challenging myself by doing exhibiton and raider

@meadowsglow Its all how you rebound from each and every issue. Just rely on your own strength, you will find a way. I had to make a tough choice when my son was 10yrs old. Divorce or stay in a really bad situation. I had to choose divorce. I got my son, dog, house and bills, but made it work. Now he's an Honor Role Student in college with me. I had health issues that changed my world, only to rebound and now happy to have made the right choices. Strength and God pulled me through...u can too.

last year my grandma was diagnosed with cancer we didnt know it until she had to go in the hospital she was in for one week then friday night she passed...we thought she was gonna make it but thursday night they put on life support then she started doing good but we got a call from my uncle and said she couldnt make it and she passed..she had cancer in 2008 too but she fought it and passed tht but she couldnt win last year..im glad she is in a better place now..R.I.P forever and ever and ever :)

I was diagnosed with an incurable heart disease at 14, same that killed my father. I'm 16 now. I've been warned pregnancy is too dangerous, I shouldn't sky dive or scuba dive, many things are classed as off limits to me. Call me reckless or whatever you like, but I've been scuba diving, I will go sky diving, I still do the sports I like and one day I'm pretty sure I'll have kids. I don't want to live a safe life, that's depressing. I'll do the many thing on my bucket list!

In 2009, my Dad and I were going to the V.A. for his chemo treatment. I played this song for him, he wasn't a country fan, I turned to him and asked what he thought. He had always lived life to the fullest. And told me that he liked it. That moment in the truck, I'll never forget. I played this song for him at his service back home. I have told myself that I too am going to Live Like I'm Dying.
My dad died when he was 48 from cancer. Before he died he went skydiving, rode a bull, and attempted to rockclimd. I miss him dearley, he died when I was 5. I hope all the familys with relatives or people they're close to can hope to see their dad again smileing and living life as if he was dieing.

I was 11 years old when my daddy was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He'd just turned 45, I beleive. All I remember from that time period was hearing my father cry as he was on the phone with his doctor. I also remember thinking he had shaved his head when he went bald because I thought he was trying to be a grandpa. Regardless of the scare, he fought pass the cancer. Thankfully he is still alive today, me being 16 now, he is healthy. God bless the families who weren't as lucky

I was 43 and had the first of what turned out to be 2 open heart surgeries, 8 months apart. I didn't realize my disablility and tried to do all the things I did in the past. Then the second hit me right between the eye's. I have only God to thank and the will to raise my son that saved me. Now, I live to pay back to those who saved me, that I have a greater purpose. Everyone always told me how I'm the 'strongest' person they knew, so on my 18th bday I got 'Strength' tattooed on me (followed by my family in support). Just remember to keep your head up and never forget that you have 'Strength'...

About 2 or 3 years ago, my uncles bestfriend's sickness took a sharp turn for the worst. He was diagnosed to live for a week or two. Seing the sadness upon his face was the worst thing, I've dealt with. My aunt, is a huge Tim McCgraw, and they began to listen to this song over and over. My Uncle and Anut have made me realise the importance of life, and all its opprtunities.
The hospital will do the best they can to make sure he is safe and in good care. Things like that get u to think what would happen if that was me would i be sacred? would he worry about my life just like i am his ? these are questions noone but u can answer with him I hope he gets better and that everything that everything goes good for him after that

i liived my life i partied when i young had my first 2 daughters at 19 &21 raised them had my next 2 daughters at 39 & 41 worked hard in between both sets of kids had 2 heart attacks in2009 1 pulminary imbolism in 2008 was out of this world for awhile died twice actually saw the light at the end of the tunnel along with mom and dad both knee's replaced ,both hips replaced first song I remember hearing after coming back now 2 granddaughters and retired and haveing more fun now

wow im really sorry!! thats so sad! this song reminds me of my great grandpa. he was one of the best men i've ever met! he was the nicest person! he got cancer and the doctors gave hm 6 months.... he fought and fought and went 5 years! shut the doctors the hell up! when ur a fighter nothing impossible! no one can put a time on someone like my grandpa jim! I was diagnosed with an incurable heart disease at 14, same that killed my father. I'm 16 now. I've been warned pregnancy is too dangerous, I shouldn't sky dive or scuba dive, many things are classed as off limits to me. Call me reckless or whatever you like, but I've been scuba diving, I will go sky diving, I still do the sports I like and one day I'm pretty sure I'll have kids. I don't want to live a safe life, that's depressing. I'll do the many thing on my bucket list!

In 2009, my Dad and I were going to the V.A. for his chemo treatment. I played this song for him, he wasn't a country fan, I turned to him and asked what he thought. He had always lived life to the fullest. And told me that he liked it. That moment in the truck, I'll never forget. I played this song for him at his service back home. I have told myself that I too am going to Live Like I'm Dying.

My dad died when he was 48 from cancer. Before he died he went skydiving, rode a bull, and attempted to rockclimd. I miss him dearley, he died when I was 5. I hope all the familys with relatives or people they're close to can hope to see their dad again smileing and living life as if he was dieing.

I was 11 years old when my daddy was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He'd just turned 45, I beleive. All I remember from that time period was hearing my father cry as he was on the phone with his doctor. I also remember thinking he had shaved his head when he went bald because I thought he was trying to be a grandpa. Regardless of the scare, he fought pass the cancer. Thankfully he is still alive today, me being 16 now, he is healthy. God bless the families who weren't as lucky

I was 43 and had the first of what turned out to be 2 open heart surgeries, 8 months apart. I didn't realize my disablility and tried to do all the things I did in the past. Then the second hit me right between the eye's. I have only God to thank and the will to raise my son that saved me. Now, I live to pay back to those who saved me, that I have a greater purpose. Thanks to them. I now live to "Pay it Forward". I'm a Medical Student in college with my son. Never give up. Trust in God...

@My2mtpckts I completly agree with what you have to say. I'm 20 and need open heart surgery, the moment you're told that.. seems like your whole life does a 180. Everyone always told me how I'm the 'strongest' person they knew, so on my 18th bday I got 'Strength' tattooed on me (followed by my family in support). Just remember to keep your head up and never forget that you have 'Strength'...

Trust in God, and he will guide the hands of you surgeon. You will be very weak afterwards, let your family help. And for God's sake, limit what you do after, realize your limitations. About 2 or 3 years ago, my uncles bestfriend's sickness took a sharp turn for the worst. He was diagnosed to live for a week or two. Seing the sadness upon his face was the worst thing, I've dealt with. My aunt, is a huge Tim McCgraw, and they began to listen to this song over and over. My Uncle and Anut have made me realise the importance of life, and all its opprtunities.

The hospital will do the best they can to make sure he is safe and in good care. Things like that get u to think what would happen if that was me would i be sacred? would he worry about my life just like i am his ? these are questions noone but u can answer with him I hope he gets better and that everything that everything goes good for him after that

i liived my life i partied when i young had my first 2 daughters at 19 &21 raised them had my next 2 daughters at 39 & 41 worked hard in between both sets of kids had 2 heart attacks in2009 1 pulminary imbolism in 2008 was out of this world for awhile died twice actually saw the light at the end of the tunnel along with mom and dad both knee's replaced ,both hips replaced first song I remember hearing after coming back now 2 granddaughters and retired and haveing more fun now
