Lane and I got pushed aside.....I'm not mad....still luv rap/hip hop today and feel pretty blessed to have been a small part of the Record company that created a new musical genre.....anyhow....Sylvia and her sons always treated me well.....sometimes I think it was mostly out of guilt....when I was 12 I did an Album with them under their old All-Platinum label...the Album got shelved when the label went bankrupt!

The record was never promoted partly because of the obvious MJ vocal mimmick (still can't believe I went along with the sherade).....and also because the rap game blew up 4 SH records as we know with Flash, Sequence, etc.....the money (and LOTS of it) was in the new rap game

Ok guys here's the deal....Earl Les Dion Brinkley on lead and Lane Lassiter doubling.....I'm Les Dion so I know the story......in short....a Sugar Hill Millie Vanilli gimmick 2 take an MJ impersonator (Lane was and still is the best ever!) ....stick a lead vocal ala MJ on the track and cash in....typical Sylvia Robinson facade.....not much different than what she did with the Sugar Hill Gang and "Rapper's Delight"....the SH Gang didn't lip sync but we all know they weren't true NYC rappers

Lane is a great entertainer but he is not on lead vocals...that is Earl singing lead.Both of them are great guys.
