  • this game looks a lot like kid kool, is it the same team?

  • @indra434 yes it's a companion peice or a spirital sequel

  • this and kid kool are fun games to me so many people just hate them :=(

  • ah no mames eres una pistola! Que juego tan chido!

in english: wow that's amazing! I love that game!

  • Even with TAS it was slow.

That first level took far too long, with many mistakes. With practice ,you can nearly go full speed through the 1st stage to the warp point. But you need to have perfected the jumping. And miss that 1st bendy pole,it wastes too much time.

I'm starting my second speed run game,on the real hardware, with new zealand story finished in just over 5 minutes.Psycho fox is now the focus.

  • I wanted this game so badly when it came out. There were no previews or anything like such in my day. The game artwork looked awesome and the back cover showed some cool stuff. I got this game on ebay thinking it would be great. Man, what a piece of crap this game is. Wonder Boy has this beat by several light years.

  • I grow up with this one. It was my favourite besides Sonic 1+2, Wonder Boy 2 + 3 and Alex Kidd before I get my Super Nintendo. How I loved the game lol. Never made it to the end and didn't know that warpzone.

Thanks for showing me the end.

  • I find the 'Psycho Fox' charakter intriguing.

  • I remember finding the warp zone to the last stage, can clock this in under 10 mins!!

  • what exactly does "tool assisted" entail?

  • the last boss takes 3 hits O_o what a poor ending.

  • i loved this!

never did it that fast, though

  • this game was fun. i love the music for the last level, and yes there are secrets but i just play the whole way through, my fav was the fox....

  • i was never able to complete this game, and i didn't know you could skip to the last world from the first HAHA

  • Haha, i remember being on the desert stage up till 3 in the morning, considering i was like 9 lol

  • HOOOOOOOO GREAT GAME

  • A long, long time ago...

  • I like the way the ending includes silly pictures of the game designers.

  • I still have that game. Thanks for bringing back my long-lost memories.

  • Wow my brother had this on the Sega when I was about 3, Brings back memories,

and on another note, Psycho Fox is dressed like something from GTA Vice City

  • That music in the cave is beautiful. I just a retrorgasm.

  • "Doskoi" is a call for encourage especially sumo wrestler.

    "Charge!" or "Invincible" etc.

"Dokkoisho" or "Dokkoi" are same mean.

The origin of the word is "Doko(= where)"

  • one of my favourite games ever i loved it :)

  • Will that pig quit smokin' pot?!

  • It's strange how long I'd been using the name "Psycho Fox" before hearing about this game. Looks cool, though.

  • Holy shiet, I had almost forgotten about this game...

    So many memories ^^'

  • One Of The Best SMS Games !

  • One of THE most underrated in my opinion, simply because it was on the SMS at the time when the NES ruled the world in terms of games.

Excellent game, for me at least 9/10

  • It ruled in terms of sales because in terms of quality of software and hardware it tanked big time.

  • @nufcdazzla great game great system

  • WHAT A GAME!! Stayed up playing this late with a friend when i was 8 or 9!

  • decap attack had the same engine as this game,

  • i was waiting to hear what the link was between the games, both fantastic games

  • cool to see the ending again. It's so weird.

  • yeah it made no sense

  • Alguem sabe o que é esse tal de dosucoi???

  • I loved that game.

    And I still do! ;D

  • Me too. I didn't grow up with it. In fact, I wasn't able to play it until a copy was found in a second-hand store 2 years ago. It was one of the best purchases i've made. :)

  • the music is beatiful, i remember this game :)

  • stupid end of game.

  • nice run ! can you tell me which emu you used? i didn't found an emu with re-record feature yet :/

  • Sure thing.

I used a GBA emulator to record this run. I downloaded a SMS to GBA ROM converter called SMSAdvance. After that, I ran the game and set the graphics options (using the in-game emulator menu) to minimise flickering, then I started the record from a soft reset.

The one problem with this that i've seen so far is that some games emulate music slowly. I've mainly noticed this in Land of Illusion and Sonic 2.

  • Im so annoyed you found that I spent an entire day of my life completing this game. I was horrified with the ending as it took me around 4 hours to do!

  • The ending made me chuckle slightly. While it's hardly saying "Thanks for playing", most games in this era have no major plot. The focus of these games is the gameplay rather than the story, and these endings reflect this.

Indeed, this isn't a good ending. The game doesn't entice you into playing it again (like Land of Illusion does by saying you haven't got all the stars yet), and nothing leaves you feeling satisfied about beating the game (not even the music). But I still like this game :)

  • I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the game, I thought it was a very well made challenging game but the ending was pretty bad. Like Alex the kidd in the enchanted castle that is probably the worst ending to a game ever

  • I think I know a worse ending: Global Gladiators. :D

  • No, it's Ghostbusters for NES.

  • Oh yeah, I forgot about that one, though that Engrish ending isn't really much worse. The Global Gladiators ending for the Master System had one of the 2 kids saying something like "Wow! What a blast!" (probably with Ronald McDonald hiding somewhere), then it immediately takes you back to the title screen. No credits roll.

  • Well, if you think that those types of endings are bad, then the worse should be Athena. I can't describe it of how horrible is lol.

  • Haha, just seen it. That truly is the most pointless ending i've ever seen. Castle, Athena, music from the first level. Must've taken five minutes.

  • This game rips off mario EVERYWHERE

  • psycho fox pissed on mario dude

  • Mario can't punch! It is a rip I will admit it, but a lot of games get their ideas from other game titles. At least it is not a complete rip. They took the side scrolling idea of SMB and made a game that (in my opinion) looks and plays better. SMS LIVES!

  • Mario rip or not, I do agree this game plays better. There's a character switch system (which I made use of in my better run), a birdy to throw about, poles to launch yourself from, and water to skip on. Glorious. :)

  • damn...
