@shebangsthedrums89 Nah I didn't get it from Afflecks, bought it from Vinyl Revival, they don't normally have the off label stuff, mainly live stuff but I was really excited when I found this! Sweet yeah are you talking about "The Lord created the Stone Roses" record? I've got that one too but I have no idea who released that, It's got a funny version of Elephant stone on it though doesn't it!! haha all I'm missing is the 12" of Resurrection from my collection, so fucking expensive.

The quality of these songs that never got recorded is stunning. Shame they can't find their way onto a Rarities CD or something. This and the first version of Where ANgels Play, Boy on A pedastal, your time will come etc.

One thing I know about guitarists is that they watch closely other guitarists to see how the make certain sounds...it's obviously derivative of Johnny Marr's style but that can't be a bad thing, can it?

I don't think they pretended to hate the Smiths and what they stood for, particularly Morrissey (one depressing poser, IMO) and the "hate" was mutual anyway.

But I tink there was respect for Marr as a musician.
