  • How many of u Really lived it ???

  • Simple scenarios... not lights or things like now... BUT the Talen was everything... This is a real classic... I´m sure this video will be reminded in the future like a real ROCK HERITAGE... because in the life there will be only one Blackmore, Lord, Gillian, Paice and Glover.... and we are lucky because we had the chance to live it.

  • Saw Deep Purple about 1970 (memory is a bit hazy on the date) BUT they were great.

  • i just seen Deep Purple a few days ago in Hamilton ,Canada....and they still kick ass !!!!!!!!

  • Classic.

  • So sad to see what they are now. A few years ago they played with Pavarotti at Pavarotti & Friends.......

  • @scurpenin oh fuck that was ridiculous... Ian Gillan has definately lost his voice... So sad...

And I can't even understand the point of going on without Lord and Blackmore, they were the soul of the band!

  • @RocketRivasHR ...yeah..ask Blackmore..he was sooo greedy...

  • @scurpenin In any case we can enjoy these spectacular recordings like this one! :))))

  • very simple song if played right it would be epic, if played by a total amateur would be a total train wreck

  • OK Kids now you can see what your parents got up to before you were born.

  • @cmikex2 in fact we were very lucky .......led zep, deep purple ....

the poor kids now have justin bieber, britney spears , lady gaga .............and a lot of other shit

  • @viper88i damn straight im 15 u have no clue how bad it sucks

  • @ArmyRangerish im 15 to..

  • @viper88i

yeah, and we had the bay city rollers, twiggy and the middle of the road, too. how lucky was that?

  • @shotdonkey a matter of being selective ! but if there is only shit you can not be slective !

    lol !

  • @viper88i you are right buddy. But that is the world that we have created for them.

  • @viper88i I don't think that's very fair haha. No doubt Deep Purple and Zeppelin were legendary (it's what I grew up on, my mother was very kind to us), but you're comparing rock music to pop music... you should be comparing Bieber to the B52's and other music that now goes down in history as a bit of a joke.

No one's ever going to be another Kansas or Deep Purple, but as a musician, I have to believe that your generation gave birth to new rock artists who can offer something amazing.

  • @cmikex2 Yeah. We can see 0:23

  • @cmikex2 Im 17 and like this music, music of today sucks!

  • cool

  • @heymrpaul Check your dates. The DP Mk II lineup lasted from July 1969 until July 1973 with no changes. This video is from Hofstra University, Long Island NY on May 29 1973. The final Mk II gigs were in Japan in late July 1973, and were released as the Made In Japan album. My own first DP show was on March 20th 1973 in Brussels Belgium with this lineup.

I expect your thinking is a year off. They played Tampa on June 16 1973, then West Palm Beach, Atlanta, and Honolulu before Japan.

  • I saw this lineup in their second to last EVER Concert in the summer in Tampa Florida, 1972. Next night they played Miami, then Blackmore broke up this lineup. WHY this video is marked 1973 I DO NOT KNOW, but IT CANNOT BE SO. This must be 1972 or EARLIER. PERIOD.

  • @heymrpaul What were they thinking? Firing Ian Gillan and replacing him with David Coverdale is like taking the Mona Lisa down from the wall and replacing it with a photo of dogshit

  • Gillan loks like Jim Morrison here......

  • Richie Blackmore is still the legend

  • Best riff ever written....

  • einfach nur super

  • As I always say, Old is Gold

  • One of the best guitarists, Blackmore....

  • 0:23 Is that a Geico caveman?

  • Muuuuito loko

  • i love how the organ makes it sound so much better ;-D

  • This style, this rythm oh fuck god, why wasn't I born in this freaking time !

  • who was first? the doors or deep p? coz'´both have similar sound.

  • rock and fucking roll !!! only the english rock like this !!!!

  • Deep purple forever!

  • this made my day

  • Good

  • good riffs, strong vocals and timeless rock.

  • -shudders-Ian Gillan with a blow wave perm...wrong in so many ways

  • The riff uses parallel fourths.

  • FALTÓ JOHN LORD...

  • @elmorrismehacefeliz John Lord was there

  • kick ass quality for 1973 !

  • the born of hard rock

  • excelent!!!

  • The original and best Deep Purple lineup. Everything went downhill later.

  • @grovsnus1 This comment suggests Ian Gillan was the original singer for Deep Purple.Incorrect my friend. In the 60's their original singer was Rod Evans. And Coverdale/Houghes is the best lineup.Gillan is a snobby, hyporite!!

  • greats voice i remember my uncle his a favorite song

  • Nice video !!!!!!

  • Power

  • was there heard the base :)

  • Wow! the voice is amazing.

  • This is the original and best Deep Purple

  • @drdoutrina this song is a copy of Im loose (iggy and the stooges)

  • @drdoutrina - YES this was no question the best version, but it was NOT the original line up. This was Deep Purple 2.0....

  • @drdoutrina It's not the original it's the MK2 line up. But I agree that it is the best.

  • @drdoutrina Not quite! This is the MkII line-up, but is the best lineup.

  • One word to describe this song - AWESOME

  • i'm 14 years old and I'm only listening (and playing guitar) to stuff like that, i hate that heartless produced shit of music of today!

  • the best musical of the century. Death to Rap music! Long Live Rock and Roll!

  • @mrblurblur2003 Don't forget retarded electro and dubstep

  • deep purple forever

  • Ian is drunken, veeeery drunken...AND SOUND VERY GOOD TOO!

  • All due respect, these guys are amazing musicians, this is a stellar song, and a great performance, but Ian's vibrato sounds whiney and is not up to his personal standards here

  • 29 did smoke water :o

  • Guthrie Govan in the audience at 0:23

  • that's a lot of marshall stuff right there

  • This is a old , good , awsome and easy song ! xD

  • After a couple of decades Ian Gillan is singing with a symphonic orchestra and making it work. Without looking too lost within that environment nor with his rock attitude.

  • good performance!!

  • is this the original line up?

  • @WWFinurhouse It's not the line-up the band was founded with.

After the three first lp's Rod Evans and Nic Simper were replaced by Ian Gillan and Roger Glover.

But this so called MKII line-up is what many people call the "real original" line-up, and it the most successful in the history of Deep Purple:

    Ritchie Blackmore - Guitar

    Ian Gillan - Vocals

    Roger Glover - Bass

    Jon Lord - Keyboards

    Ian Paice - Drums

If you want my personal opinion: Deep Purple are not Deep Purple without Ian Gillan ...

  • @megicappel Ian played Jesus, Tommy Bolin was God!

  • ass kicking is the way it is diego59x!!!
