I think that Umineko would be the one to have the most bloody violence. Especially the Manga.. I didn't get that kind of thrill after watching the anime. But.. I was sooo damn scared after reading the manga... it was soo dark! O_O!! I was scared for a few days on the dark. I couldn't go on my basement when the lights were turned off.

God's Harboring (Ookamikakushi) just started about 5 weeks ago. That's a brand new one by the same creators, made to coincide with the Nintendo DS game of the same name. It's a lot more like Higurashi than Umineko is. So far at least. :)

...Just look up the translation if you want it so bad. Most of the time when an English version is made of a song it's not that good, in my opinion anyway, and the lyrics have to be changed around so much to fit the music tempo. I don't care if I can't understand, I prefer to just feel music, and when I do want to know what the song is about, I look for translated lyrics. It's more rewarding to find the emotions behind the song through your own listening though, again in my opinion.

Asian music isn't just popular among anime fans, and plenty of great bands have been discovered by more fans through anime building a bridge. The Wolf's Rain Remix really got me despite Eminem's song, but it shows real talent.

Evangelion tries to be psychological, but ends up devolving into generic mech anime, with a mish-mash of different religious ideals that don't come out in the wash, multiple endings that don't make sense in context, and yet another whiny, incompitent protagonist. Death Note begs the question of whether, if someone has the power to kill, regardless if the target is evil or not, should they.

lololol. Choices that question human ethics appear in Evangelion. The ending for the T.V. series was simple to understand. However, the movie was a pile of ambiguity so fans would shut the hell up. But it's still a movie that suppose to be thought about deeply.... The religious ideas were just for the hell of it and it wasn't very obvious unless you studied Judaism or Christianity a lot. Death Note it's self is original. However it's not the most psychological thing ever. It's deep, I guess.

But it's mostly a back and forth struggle between Light and L. And the question of ethics and humanism within Light get over-shadowed by this. It's mostly a life size chess game.... But with death. Light himself doesn't have much of a personality other than his hate for evil. Same with L and the other characters. They are just symbols really, but it's no more deep than NGE.
