Jobs goïng oversees is due to global free trade. Of course we would be competitive if we cut our salary to 300 $ monthly, work six days a week from 5 am till 8 pm and sleep on the factories floor at night.

@envanje jobs going overseas is do to over regulation of government.. when a government tells me I have to pay someone a certain wage (even though they want to work for cheaper) in my HOME BUSINESS they make it more costly for me to run my small business, which would in effect make my product cheaper, which will make my customers standard of living go up because they can afford to buy EVERYTHING cheap if there was NO fucking government in the way. government makes many many many more rules!

It was industrialization that paved the way for weekends and other benefits because people could do more work in less time because of more efficient methods and machines. Unions are the people that have bankrupted our states and bankrupted our car companies. How do those benefits work out when people have no job at all?
unions are good if the workers PRODUCE. however, teachers for instance in many states produce students in America who are idiots and dumber than their parents. those kinds of workers deserve a political battle with unions. if you can't produce you don't deserve rewards. reward greatness and hard work, not tenure only.

If you can make a lot of money by beïng an improductive speculant or live on a starvation wage by producing cars or sweeping the street, the choice is quite easy.

These left-wing forces had been instrumental in securing union victories during the Great Depression and in the 1940s. Since then it has never been the same.
