  • hey sounds like the singer from gorillaz, jokes ;)

  • i need an album. 13 part 2

  • who is a backup singer? it is not Graham. good song, but if Graham was a backing vocalist, would have been perfect.

  • this outro from Coxon is soo fuckin great! !

  • The best song of 2010. Similar to The Cutting Crue single ? Hm.. Only for a couple of seconds. No more.

  • Hasta ahora es la mejor canción de ese álbum . No puedo dejar de escucharla.!

Wake up Straight, caught out by the sunn ..(8)

  • @TheKontosuburbian Honestly, I've always found that song incredibly irritating - perhaps due to the amount of people who sing it dramatically and horribly off-key in talent TV shows (American/Australian Idol... I'm looking at you) - and I absolutely adore this song.

Even if they really did steal bits of it intentionally, they done a hell-better job :P In my opinion, anyway...

  • melody = i just died in your arms tonight......

  • does a bit though doesnt it ..... sound like died in your arms .... great to have em back though all the same xxxxxxx

  • @KennySherman oh, but the other one has a awesome quality. i prefer the other video. im kinda hypocrite lol but anyway, this video really helped me with other videos.

  • Are they making any new songs? =) They gave these out at the CD store in America. I was in America during black friday but didn't get one!

  • Sounds like a Gorillaz song lol that is, if you compare this song with "Song 2."

  • @speedypeed Each Blur song sounds different ...

  • VIVA LA BLUR,

Thanks to graham, I have a fender obsession

  • The bridge sounds a bit like the one of "A Day in the Life" by the Beatles. Fuck off, they are both such geniuses.

  • britpop revolution starts again!

  • woot

  • Blur and Gorillaz. Two of the best ever in history

  • my version doesn't have the guitar solo at the end, which is quite annoying!

  • The song is so good that i didnt know the picture was just repeating it self over and over again hahaha ya i know im a tard but its a good song ^_^

  • @fizXwolf LMFAO~ I didn't notice until you mentioned it~ ahahahhahahah xDD

  • I loooove to see all the love for blur. They are amazing. Always have been and always will be. They are masters of reinvention. Brilliance it always brilliance!

  • the guitar at the end seems like the fitting end to their career.....hope that it isn't!

  • It's almost 6 months later, and I'm still on cloud 9 about the new blur song!

  • i have to think about this one, its TOO similar to what ive heard before, wait... is this a new ablum....

  • I love Blur, but when I heard the first bit of the song, I started humming: I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight (by Cutting Crew)! :(

  • BLUR is = BE Like U R have you ever seen ?héhé

    on top !you could!;-)

damon you're cool and open mind as simple

    Be Like You Are

    see you soon mate!hope

fuck them all !fuck them all!

  • I think it is okay, but not extremely good. It's nice to hear that their musical taste has returned a bit to their 1997 era. I hope they will release more in the future

  • Long Live Blur..............WE NEED MORE

Lasted Longer than Oasis after all :)

  • not bad

  • not even b side worthy

  • @TheMrbollox shows your taste

  • I'm nothing less than a huge Blur fan.

This songs pretty good, but no where near as good as their best stuff. I'm still very much hoping for a full LP

  • @WlNDAGO

This is a compilation of their albums. You can clearly hear that so i think its bullocks you say it is not their best work. it is a great song and it fits nicely with the rest of their songs.

  • blur out lived oasis afterall lol well done

  • Comment removed

  • so cool, so so cool

  • this songs sick... Blur back in form

  • BLUR!

  • I'm looking forward to the next song they cook ^^

  • I'm looking forward to the next song they cook ^^

  • it sounds pretty good with the vuvuzela option on

  • Well at least they are doing something, but they should record a new song every month............ then release a record of all the songs.........just like alot of other fellows are doing.

  • Doesn't this sound like Madness to anyone else?

  • The video is annoying as fuck !

  • not bad

  • so cool, so so cool..

  • the missing lyrics are "Of Blasts(i think), Caffeine and science"

  • Aaaa, I really love it! I wish a new album from Blur, they all are goddamn good men...:)

  • damon rules

  • This track never gets old. When is there next album coming out?

  • @Emayzin Albarn doesn't want to commit to a full album, but at least he's expressed interest in doing more one-offs.

That's just the beginning, sure he's busy with Gorillaz and another opera but I think it's only a matter of time before another full album.

  • @Tman376 Awww I sooooooo hope you're right!

  • Bear in mind they knocked this up in about 3 days.

  • Love it ! welcome back blur !!!

  • Comment removed

  • Lol i was sure it was Gorillaz when i turned radio on in the middle of the song :P

  • best tune evarr

  • slightly neutralisitic nostalgic inward leanings on the part of the guitar player alex james!!! i can't believe graham coxon is still playing the same drum beat. damon is a believable vocalist and his side project gorillaz has provided him with a bent twist to all things black, but he seems to have turned his mind away from that here and gone for a more traditional ray davies nerdle with contrasting shin digs of france weather. i love it. BLUR RULE!!!!

  • @containment983 you do know that graham is the guitarist and alex is the bassist, right?

  • @glaucoma53715 i did in a way

  • blur and gorillaz are back in action!

could I be any happier? I think not.

  • great great great :D

  • it's a funny song,actually..yeah..nothing great but good..not very blur-ish,though...

  • Kinda dull.

  • This song rules!! Guitar at the end is sooo good..

  • Its good to hear Coxon back at it.

  • Hm, this sounds like that gay song from the 80's!

  • What song does this sound exactly the same as?

  • Miss the old blur

  • Disappointing effort, Blur. Whats up with you guys?! Now just generic Indie. I'm gutted :(

  • @RoLLWithITOasis1 What? You expect Blur to record Parklife or any of their ol d stuff again with a modern twist? I absolutely looooooove that song!!

  • a massive cure for me

  • love blur. found the song to be very M.O.R., though

  • poor effort Albran and Co. B-side quality. It says nothing to me about my life...

    Slapdash....Where's the damn chorus lads?

you can do better than this....

  • Plus de précisions sur Staragora dans l'article : BLUR SORT DU FLOU : BIENTôT UN ALBUM !

Damon Albarn dort-il la nuit ? Non content d'être aux manettes de Gorillaz, qui vient de sortir un album, d'animer The Good the Bad and the Queen et de participer à diverses aventures passagères, le leader de Blur annonce que son groupe historique se reforme.

Depuis l'excellent "Think Tank" en 2003,...

  • blur remind me of an english weezer. The difference is blurs newer material is better. ;)

  • Oh! Nearly forgot, thank you for making it available as a free download on your official site lads.

  • I absolutely love this song and have been hearing it in my dreams, a unique experience for me. It struck me, post general election, how well this great song fits this nation's present circumstances. Damon, you're a genius.

  • BLUR COME TO LIMA-PERU on tour plzzzz!!!

  • @noKturneshadow broder que bien!!! hay que recolectar firmar para traerlos csm

  • i think damon albarns not sure of his sexuality

  • damon albarn is a genious. Blur will make more music, I can feel it in my bones.

  • cool, so so cool...

  • Smiley numéro 3 : On peut entendre le nouveau Blur sur Youtube. Popisant et expérimental à la fois, il définit sans doute bien l'alchimie Albarn/Coxon quand elle n'explose pas en route :)

  • weehoo! a true blur song!!! it has been so long! I listen to their music ever since modern life is rubbish, and I love it! also love this song. they still have it!

cannot imagine they taped this while thinking it'd be their last. just doesn't sound like that. I keep on dreaming...

  • you fool's!!!!

Damon Albarn was with blur since the early nineties. Gorillaz and TGTBATQ are side projects.

  • kind of same sound as it were with the good bad and queen album/band

  • I hope they can be together again that would be nice!

  • The Cutting Crew soundalike song... A return to form from Blur...

  • bit weird that gorillaz have onlt jus released ther nu album and blur already have a nu song damon is a busy man haha

  • blur!!!! the greatest band in the last 20 years, and this is a great great great song

  • Blur? this is a side project of the guy from Gorillaz?

  • @RQRMIC no Gorillaz was the side project of Damon

  • @RQRMIC very funny : )

  • @RQRMIC you joking?

  • @RQRMIC otherway round m8

  • Oh god it was annoying seeing that picture repeated 1000 times haha but amazing song! Can't wait to hear more stuff from them. :D will prob see Gorillaz if they come to Toronto. still need to buy their album though.

  • lol at how you repeated the same pic through the whole video.

  • such a nice song bro

  • love blur

  • great song, that sounds a lot gorillas and is good, is good to have them again!!!, I almost lost hope.

  • i new it fuck yeah wooooooooooooo blur is back lol i new they would do this saw them in hyde park last year fucking brilliant cant wait for the gigs to get anounced xxxxxxxxxxxx

  • shit

  • Oh, i love it more and more with each listening!

  • They wrote a song about my birthday! Awesome!

  • Uhm... in my opinion, looks dangerously "Spacer" by Sheila & B. Devotion... If this is it, it's a nice remake :-)

  • this is my first time hearing the new single here! its good! i love their discography except for think tank. but THIS sounds like where they should have picked up after 13. it goes back to their poppy neo-60s sound without being redundant. its fresh! now if only this could be released in the us on vinyl. blur forever reigns the best brit-pop band!

  • @smithsrfun I agree with you there. think tank was crap.

  • sounds like a lukewarm parody of ian dury and the blockheads.

apparently it's on the sountract to their new film, 'the wombles of winchester'.

  • @TheBBCIsRubbish *soundtrack*

  • The idea that this is a rip-off of I died in your arms tonight is just pathetic. Why? Because there's a point in the verse vocal where he sings descending minor notes similar to that song? Do you have any idea how many songs do that? A similarity isn't a rip-off.

  • Now we are bored and middle-aged

  • @AiGInfintity hahha, indeed

  • cool, so so cool

  • I heard it on the radio, i thought this were the Gorillaz. Great song though.

  • @Voodoorobot damon alburn blur singer is singer from gorrilaz

  • Did you record this through a rubber chicken? The sound sounds off...

  • I... Just died in your arms tonight...???

  • @ransomdave i read that somewhere else.. well spotted

  • @ransomdave 'tis a bit eh?

  • @ransomdave Thought I was the only one sad enough to be thinking the same thing!

  • @ransomdave in some way yes it reminds me the track just died in your arms tonight ;P

  • Y un amor por toda la dulce música

    Que no podemos dejar

    Dejar, dejar, dejar, dejar, dejar

  • My favorite part is from 0:00 to 3:23

  • @tonatiuhnitor :D same

  • @tonatiuhnitor clever, i totally agree haha

  • Duh ¬¬

    COOL! =D

  • I have a yellow teeshirt with " BLUR Fuck oasis" written on it in marker pen. the teeshirt has won

  • @superiourcowies

    this song sucks

rips off the I JUST DIED IN YOU ARMS TONIGHT melody aswell, and Damon Albarn is back to mockney accent again I see.

  • @TheMrbollox Ever heard of a reference point? It could easily be a deliberate recalling of that song for effect.

  • pero tiene mucho de Gorillaz

  • Me levanto directamente

    Llamado por Blur

  • Sounds Like kids with guns. Only better.

  • its this new?like gorillaz plastic beach new?

  • Who would pay for this? Monotonous rubbish.

  • Damon maestro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BLUR...just awesome...

  • i just died in your arms tonight melody! you're right! in that case alone, very poor effort chaps...

  • not bad

  • SHEILA Spacer sorry !

  • Listen the song is like : SHEILA Spencer or MIKA Relax !!!!

  • Very Good,Bad,Queen like but then again what could they do?

  • O, I JUST DIED IN YOUR ARMS TONIGHT!

    anyone?

  • love this song, very catchy tune, waiting for the album

  • Graham's guitar makes this song make sense

  • Nice! Gotta love new material. Polish off the new album, boys!

  • Ohh ! Thanks Graham

  • love this! :)

  • Reminds you of The Clash? obviously you don't know much about The Clash, I like Blur but this is nothing special, better than a lot of the crap around these days but my washing machine makes better tunes than most of the shite these days.

  • @gazwilwah

Aren't you a bundle of joy.

I'd suggest YOU don't know much about The Clash, as I can hear shades of them too, in the bassline, the guitar sound and staccato riffs, Damon's delivery, the Westway reference...

Off and listen to your washing machine, fool.

  • its boring :/

  • Gracias blur por seguir trabajando pese a las circumstancias y regalarnos de vez en cuando perlas como estas que nos revitalizan los oidos y el espíritu!

    blur para siempre

  • come on.

  • me encanta me encanta me encanta este nuevo tema de blur, desde como comienza hasta como termina, no puedo dejar de escucharloooooo!!!!!!

  • Actually my first thought was Spacer by Sheila & Black Devotion

  • this reminds me so much of the clash

  • That's a great song! I have to confess that there were times in which I gave up hope of ever being able to listen to a new Blur song again (at least with Graham Coxon on guitar).

I agree that it is similar to "I just died in your arms tonight", but it is much cooler. Somehow, it blends Coxon's solo work with Damon Albarn's Gorillaz, but still in a very Blur manner. This song, hence, is both for old and new Blur fans!

  • @murdermileE5 What's the point, you can download it from there website.

  • brilliant...fucking brilliant. Blur is just Blur. Top of the World
