  • i love this system pioneer <3 and good song of eminem

  • hello... i have the 550watt pioneer 6x9 i love them... so now i need amplifier for it ...can you ppl help me ??? PIONEER GM-6400F 120W or KENWOOD KAC-7404 720W they are 4 channel...

coz i have in front 260 watt pioneer...

  • I konw... it's very well powered right now

  • you sub needs a lot more power. just saying.

  • nice ! (:

  • not alot of excursion on the sub but pretty chill for a car system in ur home lol

  • Where is the wc

  • I had the Infinity 3way 6x9s and they had an enormous amount of upper bass, even on Open Baffle. I couldn't stand it.. I resold them.

  • what music 1:10??

  • @Artur9067

    Without me, Eminem

  • @armandoes fenx

  • @Artur9067 really?

  • @Artur9067 Eminem-Without me :]

  • nice...you could also power them with a psu

  • what's a psu?

  • the power supply you have in your pc...it's output is 12v like a car battery ;)

  • @PeleGiannisGalpe make sure you tell him there are 3 positive and 1 negative channels in a psu there is as mentioned a 12v but there is also a 3.3 volt and a 5 volt channel as well

  • @armandoes psu IS POWER SUPPLY UNIT LOL

  • @armandoes power supply unit frm a computer

  • @armandoes power supply unit..likke the one found in Pc

  • @armandoes it the powersuply of your pc

  • @armandoes totally late, but i think hes referring to a "power supply unit" from a computer

  • @armandoes a pussy

  • do the 6x9s have good bass with out the sub

  • They have good mids, but nothing replaces a subwoofer

  • @hollnolan that depends on the bass you are trying to get. Those 6x9 have some great bass but if you want something extra, is better using a subwoofer (Pioneer, of course)

  • i see that it is in your house, how did you wire it?

  • I have a 12 Volt power source

  • I have an RX7 I put my 6x9's in the storage hatches jsut cause there was no where else to put them

  • How big did you make theports?

  • very clean looking build. good job

  • wow cute 6x9 enclosure!!

  • 6x9 speakers should never be "enclosed"

They're meant to be driver "freeair" in a hatch or a trunk space. Putting them in boxes, they lose all bass response, plus they look GAY sitting in your back window.

  • You're fucking kiddin right???!!!!

Have you ever tried them sealed?.... Either way, you dont know why i put them sealed, so shut the cunt up!

  • lmaoo 6x9should always be enclosed, if it was ported it would sound distorted cuz they dont push enough air and it will b like playing it free air, so u always want 6x9 enclosed

  • i ONLY like acoustic suspension too for the speed and clarity, but MOST people love ported speakers for deeper & louder bass so much that they're in denial that they're REALLY listening to distortion no matter how many sealed vs ported pros & cons lists you show from manufacturer's sites etc.

it's just a matter of taste, and "boom" sells more speakers in showrooms, that's why there are so few acoustic suspension home speakers made anymore sadly.

SOME of us prefer quality over quantity still.

  • i agree with you 6x9's hit good sealed

  • you have it backwards. speakers have less bass free air due to rear wave cancellations.

when i had a 12" that i hadn't installed in it's box yet, you could barely hear it even turned way up, but as soon as i put it in it's sealed box... KABOOM!

speaker boxes aren't for looks, they're there to stop back waves from cancelling the front waves out. bass suffers the most from this. that's why huge panel speakers have "weak" bass.

  • quoted from the12volt (dotcom)

"In any free air application, the back seat and surrounding panels should be removed to SEAL any possible areas where energy could be lost. It is CRUCIAL to separate (seal) the back wave of the loudspeaker (woofer) from the front wave of the loudspeaker. If not, bass cancellation will occur. This is also a good time to rid and deaden the trunk and surrounding areas of any unwanted noises and rattles."

which is exactly what i just said

  • i just bought a pair of sealed 6x9 enclosures... and they sound SHIT..

  • probably because you're pushing them hard trying to make them act like 12" subs or are using cheap crappy 6x9s to begin with.

look up sealed vs ported pros & cons at a bunch of sites online and you'll see long lists of cons for ported with "less bass & efficiency" being the ONLY con for sealed speakers.

or just read the "bass reflex" wikipedia page.

  • im using pioneer 80watt 6x9s, they sound much better installed into the rear deck.

  • then you're using your entire trunk as an enclosure, so you have alot of air mass behind them.

true "free air" means that the back side of the speakers is open which WILL cause out of phase (read bass mostly) frequencies to cancel out.

i had a 12" sub i could literally SEE moving, but not really hear because of back wave cancellations until i finally installed it in it's box whereupon it started making my walls shake.

  • @dubhippy Ported i better than sealed for loudness and lowness. End of.

Sealed is better for kick and punch, but its not as loud, or low. End of.

  • read ANY pros & cons list, including kicker's & you'll see a BUNCH of distortion related cons for ported, (don't get why people LIKE that crappy distorted boom at all) and the ONLY cons for sealed are less dBs which can easily be compensated for with bass boost.

i think ported speakers are evil. i DESPISE ports. i get annoyed with people who deny that ported bass is just distortion no matter how many FACTS you present. you're just listening to air echoing inside a box with ports, not music

  • @dubhippy Bass boost?

Wow. Seeing as you just talked alot of shit, i'm not gonna bother arguing with you.

  • i'm ONLY talking truth. the ONLY "distortion" sealed speakers is roll the bottom octave off while ported speakers create ALL KINDS of distortion to add harmonics that simply don't exist in the original signal

you can be yet ANOTHER port lover who lives in denial about the EVIL of port distortion, but FACTS ARE FACTS!

just read the two articles at kicker (dotcom slash)

    Ported_Enclosure_Pros_and_Cons

    &

    Sealed_Enclosure_Pros_and_Cons

and SEE who's talking poop & who's telling it like it is!

  • ANY other similar pros & cons list (there are MANY) will say the same thing...

sealed speakers don't add ANY distortion, they're just less efficient & ported speakers distort through resonance, time delay, phase cancellation & poor driver control.

yeah... it's a good idea NOT to argue with FACTS because it only makes you look a total idiot, or a bold faced liar or some combination of the two.

if you want to argue, argue with kicker etc. and their scientists & engineers!

  • @dubhippy I will argue with kicker!

Sealed is inefficient, lacks the lows that DO exist in a track but the sub is being choked too much to produce them. I won't however argue that they sound cleaner overall.

But what i'm saying is a properly designed ported box will sound equally as good as a sealed box, just with less punch and more lows.

  • great sistem, good build 5/5

  • whats the first song?

  • "Tarde Gris - Bahiano"

  • i'll show you the one i did last year....by "cedro"...incredible...

  • Question, I'm wanting to build a box for 2 6x9s, for in the house, I want to have them in the same box, and the question is, should it be proted or sealed?

  • I have no idea actually... i built mine sealed 'cause I didnt want the inner parts of the speaker (the woofer coil, spider and wiring) to be in contact with all in the trunk..., y guess you could go ported, but the tuning should be very precise in order to get good sound, since these speakers are meant to work on "free air" conditions...

either case, you ought to build separate boxes because they'll be playing stereo (i bet you already know that)

  • sealed

  • sealed it will sound better

  • i got a huge box for mine its allot like a sub box lol

  • can you add me and tell me the first song

  • wow , talk about webbed hand lol

  • Sorry, I dont understand what do you mean by that

  • im only joking =)

  • stil, i dont understand what does that mean

  • at :16 it looks like webbing between ur thumb and index finger lol

  • oh yea

  • I'm a good swimmer you know :P

  • look good 5 stars

  • hey what`s the size of the boxes.

  • 30 x 20 x 10 cm (width, height, depth)

  • do boxes give you more sound quality?

    suenan mejor con caja?

  • boxes give you more mid, and low range, or more bass

  • They produce more mid-bass quality. Anyways, they're designed to work on free-air conditions, so it depends on how you like mid-bass.

    saludos

  • man, it's not a big deal, the sub is so poor....... give it a monochannel amp for at least, and if you got it, it's not enough ...

  • Watch my latest video, I upgraded to 2 pioneer 307 D4 plus a 1200 RMS monoblock amp

  • what?

  • no te entiendo nada
