Not all gays are shall we say "showy"? You'd be amazed at just how many gay people you encounter in a given day. Gays are all professions, they are business people, health care professionals, armed forces, politicians, teachers, police officers, fire fighters, builders, etc. Don't judge all gays by the "showy" ones. Yes, we have an agenda. We want equal protection from hate crimes and the right to legally unite with our partners so our families are secure in case something happens to us.
So that we might adopt our children in the families we create. Right now only a few states allow us to become the adoptive parent of our partners child even though we may have been together for years. What if something was to happen to the child's legal parent? Guess what, the surviving partner loses the child because he/she has nothing legal tying him/her to the child. So the child is ripped away from the only other parent they have ever known.
Hospitals can keep a long term partner from their ailing partner if it choses to. Why? Because they are not considered family. Imagine being kept from your wife while she lays dying in a hospital.

They are all lives that people are born into. The only thing that kids need to be taught is that just like there's different colors of people (what would you classify a normal color for mankind?) there's also different sexual orientations. They will be of one orientation while someone else will be another.
In the end, both heterosexual and homosexual people are all about love and family. Yes, gays can have families too. We teach our kids about str8 people and that they will probably grow up to be str8 also and that it's OK that they be different from us because God loves all, not just a select few.

This is God's way: We should start with a foundation (religion) & build apon it. A person's religion should always be just a foundation. It should never become the house because most zealots who build a house with their religion forget to put the windows & doors in. Then they live their lives stuck in a box eating from the same recipe. No wonder they get angry and hateful. They blame God for the box & the unchanging recipe when it is they who built the box and refuse to deviate from the recipe.
Now apply all that to people who live for the bible (symbolised in this by a recipe, the church symbolised by the school) and the people who never deviate from this book. Then think of the ones who read the book, saw how it could work but felt it didn't offer enough so they set out into the world to make the book (recipe) better. God is the creator. He made us to be creators also.
They will in their own way expand apon their knowledge by doing their own seeking into a better dish instead of being led to one. These are the true chefs for they believe in themselves enough to find their own way without using the same teaching, the same recipe that everyone else is studying under. They will be the different and in the end, they become the great ones, the chefs that everyone remembers and listens to.

Remember too that American psychologist/doctors back in the day used barbaric shock therapy treatment and brain surgery (removing sections of the "afflicted" persons brain). If the person was not left in a vegetative state after these attempts to "cure them of their disease", they either pretended to be "normal" so as not to suffer any more torturous treatment or they remained gay proving that homosexuality is not something that can be "cured".

As for my lifestyle. Well, I dress mostly in jeans and a t-shirt or a short sleeve collard shirt. I don't drink, I don't do drugs but I do smoke cigarettes. I don't eat out at restaurants much because I don't trust the cleanliness of those places. I eat mostly American foods. I'm an ex-truck driver, now retired. I retired when I was 44. I have seen grown men with the metal faces and baggy pants. Maybe they are trying to feel young? I don't know but they do exist along with the tattooed men (and women), you know the ones who have tattoos covering just about every inch of exposed skin including parts of their face. Right now only a few states allow us to become the adoptive parent of our partners child even though we may have been together for years. What if something was to happen to the child's legal parent? Guess what, the surviving partner loses the child because he/she has nothing legal tying him/her to the child. So the child is ripped away from the only other parent they have ever known.

My children understood that though I did not agree with tats, metal in their face or low hung pants, I wasn't going to control them. The went through their phases, did everything listed but soon found out it wasn't them. Children do grow to be who they are meant to be. Just the way it's suppose to be in the hetero life. We can even make babies! The lesbians have uteruses and the gay males have sperm. Everything we need to help keep the human race going. :D

Oh and for the record, I don't hate you either. I just don't understand why you can't grasp the fact that I was meant to exist. That millions of others world wide who are like me were meant to exist. We are born to be who we are. We are living our truth yet you and others like you would have us lie to ourselves and not be who we are because you and other religious people have deemed it not normal? It's as normal as heterosexual. We've been on this earth just as long as heterosexuals have been.

stillautumn, You say that Gay people are exactly the same as me. I think I may know what the problem is. It's the same problem we have with Muslims. The "normal" ones are just that, normal. We don't pay them much attention. But the other 40% are raging lunatics. You have to admit that the "flaming" homosexual that wears his sexuality on his sleeve is not looking for peace with what I would call "normal" people. I can't see how "flaming gays" hurt our cause at all. They are just expressing themselves. Sort of like the "normal" heterosexuals that walk around with more metal attached to their bodies than junk yards have or the "normal" straight guys that walk around with the waist line of their jeans down somewhere around their knee caps. Gay guys like the ones you speak of are just more in touch with their feminine side (it sort of encompasses most of their being).

The metal face, baggy pants kids piss me off too. But, in their defense they are kids. I never see anyone over the age of 25 doing this. If you saw dogs walking around acting like cats you wouldn't think it was strange "not normal". It's the same thing when you see a man acting like a woman. That brings me to another thing I'm confused about. I am running out of space so I will post that thought separately.

Have you ever seen a marriage where the husband stayed home & the wife went to work? Where the wife ruled the roost & the husband was the submissive one? I have. I see nothing wrong with that set up either. It's their life & their marriage. It doesn't affect me one bit & I don't think it would affect their kids any either. I think men like them are just threats to your masculinity. Feel more secure about yourself and you may find they don't bug you so much. Unlike radical Muslims, these guys don't kill for their religion or for any cause.

I do feel secure about myself. I do hate to see American men feminized though. Even straight men wear hair product and pierce their ears. Little boy are encouraged to cry. Have you seen some of these kids on American idol?? What happened to the men of our grandfathers era?

They grew up and realised they didn't have to be the tough, harsh, non compassionate men of your grandfathers era. That was good for the days of an uncivilized land but we don't need the tough macho all full of themselves men of that generation. What's wrong with crying? Studies have shown that if you let boys get in touch with their emotions instead of locking them up, they grow up to be less angry individuals. I see nothing wrong with that.

gwbush, I'm glad you don't want your kids to be taught that it's a normal lifestyle. You see, it's not a lifestyle, it's a life. Gay life, lesbian life, heterosexual life. They are all lives that people are born into. The only thing that kids need to be taught is that just like there's different colors of people (what would you classify a normal color for mankind?) there's also different sexual orientations. They will be of one orientation while someone else will be another.

In the end, both heterosexual and homosexual people are all about love and family. Yes, gays can have families too. We teach our kids about str8 people and that they will probably grow up to be str8 also and that it's OK that they be different from us because God loves all, not just a select few.

This is God's way: We should start with a foundation (religion) & build apon it. A person's religion should always be just a foundation. It should never become the house because most zealots who build a house with their religion forget to put the windows & doors in. Then they live their lives stuck in a box eating from the same recipe. No wonder they get angry and hateful. They blame God for the box & the unchanging recipe when it is they who built the box and refuse to deviate from the recipe.

Now apply all that to people who live for the bible (symbolised in this by a recipe, the church symbolised by the school) and the people who never deviate from this book. Then think of the ones who read the book, saw how it could work but felt it didn't offer enough so they set out into the world to make the book (recipe) better. God is the creator. He made us to be creators also.

They will in their own way expand apon their knowledge by doing their own seeking into a better dish instead of being led to one. These are the true chefs for they believe in themselves enough to find their own way without using the same teaching, the same recipe that everyone else is studying under. They will be the different and in the end, they become the great ones, the chefs that everyone remembers and listens to.

Yes, I do believe some people can wake up one day and become a chef. Some people are born with the knowledge and need no further guidance in their passion. Some people are born with some knowledge and need guidance to find their way completely in it. Those that do not believe in themselves enough will carry the recipes from school always and cook strictly from those.Others who have been born with the knowledge already will take what they know and create extraordinary wonders with it.
