  • Thank you very much. great channel by the way. suscribed

  • can i use any cheese ?

  • @DanceMusic45 Yes, any cheese that melts easily will work.

    --Betty :)

  • Can I just use the regular cheese that comes in squares because I don't have any cheddar cheese and I'm craving some nachos right now

  • @MagicManProductionz Yes, just use regular cheese.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen If I use regular cheese, (The ones that come in squares Im not sure of the name) Will it still taste good?

  • @MagicManProductionz Yes, it should be fine.

    --Betty :)

  • Oh my god this is so easy to make. I made and it taste so good. I went on a vacation and on my vacation they dont sell any of this stuff

  • Oooooooo nachos and cheese!!! One of my favorite snacks.

  • what if you do not have green chilly peppers is there something else you can you like a spice or something like that

  • aw theres a ring on the finger jk jk lol thanks thought this is very helpful keep it up:)

  • Can we use Cheddar to have a similar consistency?

  • @50Pwner The consistency and taste will be different, but it will still be very good.

    --Betty :)

  • can i use a regular pot and heat the pot?

  • @chrisdough97 Yes, just use low heat and stir so it doesn't stick.

    --Betty :)

  • Do you have to do it like you did or can i just put it in the pot?

  • @teololTV You may just heat it slowly in a pot.

    --Betty :)

  • hmm? um what did you put at the bottom of the cheese like in the pot?

  • @eresojason111111 Only cheese and milk to get the right consistency.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen i mean like in the pot did you put boiled water???

  • @eresojason111111 In the pot on the bottom I had boiling water.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen thanks

  • omg i just came here to make nachos and i bought the same cheese to use!!! amanda

  • Hey Betty,

I've been looking for a real simple nacho cheese sauce with a good chilli kick. I love your recipe but unfortunatly, here in the UK I have not been able to get hold of that cheese you use, or anything similar. We don't do the American Cheese blocks over here. So, do you think I could use the processed cheese slices that we do have over here?

  • @wally1uk Yes, I think the processed cheese slices would be perfect!

    --Betty :)

  • thank you betty :)

  • to make the melted cheese or can I use some other type of pot or pan to make this? thank you and thanks for your tutorial :)

  • @iwh13 Yes, you may put one pot over another that fits well enough and put water in the bottom one. Or, you can use a single pot--just make sure that you use very low heat so that the cheese does not stick to the bottom and sides.

    --Betty :)

  • gotta have some franks hotsauce 6 nice big dashes salt pepper there perfect

  • @redbulljustice99 All I know to do is think about increasing the recipe-- x 2, or x 3, or whatever it takes.

    --Betty :)

  • i looked this up to go with ( lauravitalieskitchen) pretzel video

  • @citrusgirl0246 I hope you enjoy it! Laura's pretzels will be wonderful!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen thnx betty!!!

could you do a cream brule video??

  • @citrusgirl0246 I will try to do that.

    --Betty :)

  • yngwie malsteen accoustic solo intro?

  • @DonWon313 I'm not sure of the artist, but you may be correct.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen if you add to much hotsauce what can you do to neutralize the flavor?

  • @baseballfreak051 add more cheese!

  • @Kabanos019 Colby cheese or cheddar cheese will be close enough to work very well.

    --Betty :)

  • @Kabanos019 It is Velveeta, and American cheese spread product. You may substitute another cheese, such as cheddar.

    --Betty :)

  • THANK YOU

  • @sosexysocoolsobeast You're welcome!

    --Betty :)

  • i enjoyed it

  • @Soulreaper54321 Thanks!

    --Betty :)

    --Betty :)

  • i wonder what you think if you saw epic meal time

    --Betty:)

  • @masterplans1 I have watched epic meal time; it's interested, but I think one bite would fill me up!

    --Betty :)

    --Betty :)

  • betty why dont you respond to me?

  • @ballietbran I must have missed your comment.

    --Betty :)

  • That looks so good! It's midnight and I'm hungry looking at that.

  • @myiphonerocks3gS Thanks for the nice comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I'm sorry but I like nothing about cooking. Do you NEED a double boiler or can you substitute that with something like a regular frying pan?

  • does milk make it creamy?

  • @khanapoopstain Yes, and milk thins it down. You may add as much milk as you like to get the consistency you want.

    --Betty :)

  • @MrNitram42 cheeze whiz

  • @MrNitram42 If there is a type of cheese that melts very smoothly, then that would be the best. You may, however, use a cheese like Cheddar.

    --Betty :)

  • :( my nachos came out terrible i used a extra mild cheddar cheese and it came out lumpy i added milk and butter and it's lumpy every time i make "nachos" it comes out lumpy i am not using velveeta cheese ....

  • @yucravechina I'm sorry your nachos came out lumpy. Generally, if you heat the cheese an milk very slowly, stirring constantly, you will get a smooth result.

    --Betty :)

  • Thank you so much for this video. My nachos tasted great!

  • @jellowwater Thanks for the great feedback! I really appreciate it!

    --Betty :)

I'm 16 and I barley type that well. Haha(:

  • @Xbox360xRuSh Thanks for your great comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I am debating on going to EKU for my Masters degree. Ironic lol. I live about 50 minutes from Richmond and about 25 minutes from Cincy. Thanks for the response. I used this recipe last night and plan on using another from you tomorrow. :)

  • @unitedairforcepilot Rick and I think EKU is a great place to get a master's degree! We went to school there for our undergraduate degrees, and I got my master's degree there. Rick went to U of L for his law degree. I hope you come to Richmond!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen I sure am wanting to :)

  • I live in KY too so for me to recognize your accent is weird. Are you origianlly from KY?

  • @unitedairforcepilot Yes, I grew up in Monticello, and Rick grew up in Louisville. We met at EKU, and after finishing our educations, we settled down in Richmond, since 1975.

    --Betty :)

  • @chrisaortiz Yes, you might need to add some milk when it melts a little and stir it to keep it smooth and easy to use as a dip.

    --Betty :)

  • @chrisaortiz You are very welcome!

    --Betty :)

  • @chrisaortiz Actually, I live in central Kentucky. I did pass through Texas once, though, a long time ago.

    --Betty :)

  • Betty you are awesome!!! I actualy try your recipes. Thanks for posting videos. They really help a 21 year old guy like me. Specially when I have company over lol haha

    --Betty :)

  • hungry

  • @abrikosmos Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • is there anyway i can melt the cheese if i dont have a double boiler

  • @sanyo51 Yes, you can put a saucepan over a pot of boiling water, or you can just use a single pan and use low heat, stirring constantly so that the cheese melts evenly and does not clump or stick.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen thanks

  • wow you inspire me you make nachos so good wow! thumbs up !

  • @xAlysha03x Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • nam nam=)

  • @0polle Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • I would love to make this, but we don't sell Velveeta cheese in Europe (it's actually a cheese product, not really cheese)... This cheese sauce looks pretty perfect!

  • @TheMissThis I like Velveeta (cheese spread), because it is so velvety when it is melted; however, if you want to make this recipe, you may use any cheese that you like. It just won't have quite the same texture.

    --Betty :)

  • What Can I Use If I Don't Have A Double Broiler?

  • thx betty^^ it turned out very fine, i am not a cook im just 16 yr old gamer who wants nachos with cheezzzze , again thx =3 i subbed and liked ur vid btw you have very beautiful eyes

    --Betty :)

  • looks delicious Betty. I know this is off topic but I love your blouse and gold shell. May I ask where you bought them? You have such great style as well as being a wonderful cook :)

  • @ChantillyGurl Thanks for your lovely comment! I got both the blouse and sweater online at Newport-News. That's where I get most of my clothes!

    --Betty :)

  • Nacho Week!!! =)

  • @furberry101 There will be another one in a couple of days!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Yeah!!! =)

  • Betty, thanks for that first video "chili cheese nachos". That is the video that introduced "the world" to you wonderful culinary skills.

  • Hi Betty love the recipes I am the cook in my home and just happen to be the husband lol. I would love a recipe on the white cheese sauce that mexican restaurants use, I thought it was con queso dip but not so sure. Each time I have asked them they state that they use white american cheese as the base.

  • @stratosguy1 Sorry to butt in but, if you have a Walmart near you look over where the butter is. There is a section of white cheeses. Most Mexican restaurants use queso asadero. There is one brand in a white package, square with a disc cheese vacuum packed, with a flag and cow called La Chona. Asadero is what 90% of restaurants use so, as long as you get that you're good. Look in your phone book for Mexican stores if your Walmart doesn't carry it.

  • @LeakFreak thank you I will look in to it asap! My family and I love that cheese and if you buy it from local restaurants it's way overpiced.

  • @LeakFreak Thanks for the great information!

    --Betty :)

  • Cool! Thanks I guess I was on the right track I'm heading to WalMart today. We are buying the supplies to try out your chicken caserole....I'll let you know how it went..Thanks again for taking your time to answer.

  • Betty, I have seen your 1st video several times. We can hardly understand what you were saying. Thank you for sticking with this. You have come miles in the quality of your uploads. Velveeta cheese does all of the work for you. Why go with anything else? Again, love to see how far you've come in 2 years. Gosh. Congratulations on your 2nd YT anniversary!!! Many more we hope.

  • hi betty :) is there a substitute for velveeta cheese?

  • @dottypiggy You may use any type of cheese that you like with tortilla chips--Velveeta is just the creamiest kind.

    --Betty :)

  • Is velveeta American cheese?

  • @ideolojay i dont think it is

  • FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yummmmm!

  • Just curious Betty, do you ever use a microwave? Sometimes I think of my microwave as my melt-o-wave.

  • @Lisatruck I use it all the time--but more for reheating leftovers than actually cooking. It is great for melting cheese/--Betty :)

  • @Lisatruck Microwaves often heat the very centre of the food way more than the outside, so they can overheat and denature the cheese. Then it tastes craaaaaaaaaaaap.

  • What is the brand of kitchen utensils and pots that you use? This year I am gonna have Super bowl at my house and I want a head start on things. One thing is for sure your recepies are the star of the night.

  • @1babymorales My latest set of pots is Paula Deen brand. My kitchen utensils are a variety of brands. I just bought them at places like Walmart.

    --Betty :)

  • Happy 2 years!!! :)

  • Betty your just absolutely amazing:) your my hero!

  • what kind of camera do you use

  • @lovemetobe11 Our camera is a Canon PowerShot S50 IS. We've had it a long time, so it's pretty old.

    --Betty :)

  • Yeah this is really easy to make. The only thing I would have to do is make more of the cheese sauce. That little bowl wont work for my family lol.

  • QUESO = CHESSE

  • can you tell what is the name of the chese that you use and if i didnot find it in my local stor what can i use insted ?

  • @hertot Velveeta cheese or anything labeled cheese spread. Cheese Whiz is another possibility.

    --Betty :)

  • @hertot Try any of the soft plastic-style Kraft cheese if you're in the UK or Australia... you used to be able to buy Velveeta in Australia and the UK but now they only sell a similar type of melty cheese which is known as 'Kraft Cheddar Cheese' - the stuff in the block, not the slices.

  • thank god for betty's kitchen aplause 100000000000x

  • happy 2 years betty. heres to another 2 years of success. :)
