Only reason Sudo lost this match is because the ref slapped him with a Yellow Card in middle of the third round for pushing down Masato then going after him. It was totally unnecessary judgment by the ref, in my opinion. But because of that, Sudo needed to score a knock down in order to take the match - which he couldn't.

Well, Genki's real strength isn't striking. It's wrestling and submissions I do believe, although he is proficient with the spinning back elbow. His kicks aren't too bad either but really, not his thing. So even if it seems like he isn't taking the fight seriously, perhaps he's just trying to use everything to his advantage. Genki fought for the UFC about 7-8 years ago and beat future WEC champion and total beast Mike Thomas Brown. He has a 2-1 UFC record, losing a close one to Bang Ludwig and completely dominating his other two opponents and submitting them.
After deeply studying Genco's Psichology, i got to the conclusion that he is a Hipnotizer, .....he starts all the fights by hipnotizing the oponent in every fight, and when the oponents wakes up, is too late.....................but not always works this kind of "Siqe" game

Ah ya have to admit though he through Masato's style off, Masato didn't know how to really fight him, he did the exact same thing to Albert Kraus! Its entertaining to have somebody like Genki Sudo come along.
Personally I don't like very much this kind of clown-fighters. But I must admit his acting makes his strikes really unpredictable and it would be very annoying psycologically -at least to me-. Respect to both fighter, especially to Masato for not having understimated his opponent.

Sudo is NOT one of the best fighters. He made a career beating up smaller opponents and never fought any top lightweight fighters. The only top opponent he has ever fought was Kid, who happens to fight 2 weight classes below Sudo and won by KO. Sudo was an entertaining fighter indeed, but he was never great.
Have you heard of Ramon Dekker and Royler Gracie? Against Yamamoto, that's called a TKO not a KO (I hope you know the difference) and it was such an early stoppage that everybody knows it was pure BS, hell knows what was wrong with the referee, still, a loss to Genki.
Dekker came out of 4 year retirement and took the fight in few days notice. He didn't train nor was he in any shape...oh, and he has zero ground game. Notable win? I don't think so.
Same with Royler, 3-year break from MMA and took the fight in few days notice. Not surprised.
Was KID's fight BS stoppage? Sudo was not defending himself, eating 3 more punches, and couldn't walk back to his corner on his own. Oh, and he didn't remember what happened at the end of the fight.
Man, he still won. if Dekker and Royler had found the date too close, they shouldn't have signed up in first place, stop making excuses for the others defeat :D. Dekker may also have zero ground game, but that doesn't take away any merit, Genki beat one of the greatest western kickboxers ever. And also beat Royler, who is one of the best to ever come from the Gracie family, so he beat people who were both good on stand-up and ground.
Dekker and Royler took the fight due to financial reasons. Royler was returning from a vacation and was totally out of shape when K-1 called him to take the fight against Sudo. K-1 kept begging him to take the fight and kept increasing the money, but Royler kept refusing. In the end, he finally took it for the money.
Japanese MMA organizations are known to set matches up at the last minute and notify foreign fighters of their opponents at the last minute to give Japanese fighters an advantage.

2 of Sudo's wins in the UFC (Remedios & Brown) are featherweights who struggled at lightweight. And Ludwig who has no ground game and Sudo couldn't even submit him.

lol, just because a style looks "relaxed" does not mean the fighter is in any way relaxed.. genki was working hard during that fight you would never know how hard it is to maintain that kind of style unless you tried it. Thats why Genki is the shit.

Sudo may be a tad annoying but his style works for him. His unpredictability makes him a dangerous fighter. He doesnt telegraph anything.

Genki fought for the UFC about 7-8 years ago and beat future WEC champion and total beast Mike Thomas Brown. He has a 2-1 UFC record, losing a close one to Bang Ludwig and completely dominating his other two opponents and submitting them.

After deeply studying Genco's Psichology, i got to the conclusion that he is a Hipnotizer, .....he starts all the fights by hipnotizing the oponent in every fight, and when the oponents wakes up, is too late.....................but not always works this kind of "Siqe" game

Ah ya have to admit though he through Masato's style off, Masato didn't know how to really fight him, he did the exact same thing to Albert Kraus! Its entertaining to have somebody like Genki Sudo come along.

Personally I don't like very much this kind of clown-fighters. But I must admit his acting makes his strikes really unpredictable and it would be very annoying psycologically -at least to me-. Respect to both fighter, especially to Masato for not having understimated his opponent.

Sudo is NOT one of the best fighters. He made a career beating up smaller opponents and never fought any top lightweight fighters. The only top opponent he has ever fought was Kid, who happens to fight 2 weight classes below Sudo and won by KO. Sudo was an entertaining fighter indeed, but he was never great.

Have you heard of Ramon Dekker and Royler Gracie? Against Yamamoto, that's called a TKO not a KO (I hope you know the difference) and it was such an early stoppage that everybody knows it was pure BS, hell knows what was wrong with the referee, still, a loss to Genki.

Dekker came out of 4 year retirement and took the fight in few days notice. He didn't train nor was he in any shape...oh, and he has zero ground game. Notable win? I don't think so.
Same with Royler, 3-year break from MMA and took the fight in few days notice. Not surprised.
Was KID's fight BS stoppage? Sudo was not defending himself, eating 3 more punches, and couldn't walk back to his corner on his own. Oh, and he didn't remember what happened at the end of the fight.

Man, he still won. if Dekker and Royler had found the date too close, they shouldn't have signed up in first place, stop making excuses for the others defeat :D. Dekker may also have zero ground game, but that doesn't take away any merit, Genki beat one of the greatest western kickboxers ever. And also beat Royler, who is one of the best to ever come from the Gracie family, so he beat people who were both good on stand-up and ground.

Dekker and Royler took the fight due to financial reasons. Royler was returning from a vacation and was totally out of shape when K-1 called him to take the fight against Sudo. K-1 kept begging him to take the fight and kept increasing the money, but Royler kept refusing. In the end, he finally took it for the money.
Japanese MMA organizations are known to set matches up at the last minute and notify foreign fighters of their opponents at the last minute to give Japanese fighters an advantage.

What an idiot. But Masato seemed afraid to put some real pressure on him. Probably because he knew he could win easily, and because he knew Sudo's only chance was a lucky punch KO.
I'd love to see that fool fight Sem Schilt though. Even tough Schilt is old he'd probably chase the guy around all the time. Plus Schilt is a monster when it comes to long range attacks.

His record 16-4 looks impressive in numbers, huh? Why don't you read the list of fighters he fought. He made a career beating smaller opponents who fought at lightweight. Sudo never fought a top lightweight fighter. The only top fighter he fought was Kid who is 2 weight classes below Sudo and managed to KO him.
2 of Sudo's wins in the UFC (Remedios & Brown) are featherweights who struggled at lightweight. And Ludwig who has no ground game and Sudo couldn't even submit him.
