The requirement that both parents be Americans is not part of the Constitution or any Amendment to it. Chester Arthur's father was Irish and not naturalized until his son was fourteen. Obama was not born in Kenya, but Hawaii to an American mother. According to US law, that constitutes "Natural Born" status. Can we move on from this?

No, she grew up in HAwaii, so she pronounces it with a local dialect. People from Oregon pronounce it differently than people in other parts of the country. Does that make them not American and racist? You need to find a new retort to those that disagree with Obama's philosophies than racist. I found her pronunciation of his name interesting. Is that a clue that his family wanted him to have strong ties to his father's homeland? So much so that his mother would choose to give birth to him there? She did seem to have a wanderlust and that could have been extremely exciting for an 18 year old girl to give birth to her son in Africa. There's a good chance Obama may be forced out of office if he keeps dodging the birth certificate issue. Fear of racism is the only thing keeping him in office now. No he hasn't handled the birth cert issue. The form he gave is not good enought o get a driver license or play little league. He needs to show the long form. Race has nothing to do with it. McCain was forced to show his and congressional hearings were held to determine his eligibility since he was born on a US Navy base in Panama.
