Thanks Zad ji. The political division of our great subcontinenet (South Asia) created primarily by foreigners can never divide our hearts, culture or common heritage. The fact that this song touches us all equally is a great proof of that. Let us all treat each other with respect, dignity and love that everyone is worthy of. I am sure that a lori sung in Pakistan sounds just as sweet as the one sung in India. We all grew up with that same sweetness. United we can stand proud and tall.

This song is for all those who have a common heritage of the the great land called Hindustan and its inhabitants (whether Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Parsi, Buddhist, Jain) and their descendants. Long live South Asia and its culture. I hope some day we can all live in peace and celeberate what we have in common rather than fight over whether this song is Indian or Pakistani (yaar Pakistan did not exist when this song was written-we were all Indians at that time.).

This song was written by Bahadur Shag Zaffar. The last Mughal kind while in prison in Burma for his country which was India before being split. It's for Indian, Pakistani, Afghanis...all as one...
